Ipsy Glam Bag for April 2023 is finally here, with the theme Anything is Possible! I received a cute bag and five beauty products including skincare and makeup. Read on to see what I received!

Note: Ipsy sends many variations, so the bag I’m reviewing may not match everyone else’s.

Ipsy Glam Bag I like the Glam Bag itself this month, it’s cute and simple. It has a cloth body that reminds me of white denim jeans. Blue flowers cover one side, a simple message is on the other. The zipper pull is made of brown ribbon and the inside is unlined.

Benefit Cosmetics Good Cleanup Foaming Cleanser ($3.75) This cleanser is for those who like it foamy, and it’s supposed to help clear out the pores. I felt like it did a good job of cleaning my face, maybe a little too well, but then I prefer something creamier (my daughter no doubt will enjoy it very much though). I didn’t feel like I needed second cleanse afterwards, it got all of the job done. Some of the ingredients include glycerin, citrus extracts, and more plus I saw parfum/fragrance was added, probably to enhance the lemon fresh scent. I used three pumps, which was more than enough, and make sure to apply to wet skin or it doesn’t move around all that well.

Grown Alchemist Hand Cream ($9.20) Here is another product that smells like sweet citrus, but it gets its scent from tangerine and orange essential oils, plus a hint of vanilla. The cream includes ingredients like grape seed oil, aloe, glycerin, and sea buckthorn oil. It’s the perfect size for a handbag and it felt very soothing, yet not greasy, when I applied it to my dry hands. I’m not sure this would keep my hands moist overnight, but it’s perfect for day use and I adore the scent!

Oryza Beauty Glow Up Lip Balm ($17.55) Ever wanted a light pink lip gloss that smells like watermelon candy? This is it (and it takes me back to middle school). I was surprised by the value, as the first ingredient is mineral oil (a petroleum product) along with shea butter, castor oil, and rice germ oil. I found products that were more natural online for a fraction of the cost. It sure feels slick, like classic lip gloss, but it’s not the best option out there.

Shaina B. Miami Eyeshadow Duo ($23) Although I thought this duo would be more appropriate in a fall box, I can’t complain about the product or performance! It was easy to apply and gave me a bold look, so on the second try I applied with a lighter hand and it worked perfectly well. I was surprised to not see fallout, great job Shaina B! I applied the shimmer to my lid and then the matte to my crease and that was all the shadow I used but of course it can be mixed with other colors in your personal collection. Swatched below.

Shades by Shan Gel Eyeliner in Brown Sugar ($18) I am a sucker for a gel liner but I need one that is easy to apply and stays all day, and this checked both boxes! Plus, it came in a shade a little lighter than my usual black, and of course pairs perfectly with the eye shadow duo shown above. You twist it from the bottom so no sharpener necessary. Swatched below.

Swatched on top is the gel liner pencil and then below is the eye shadow duo!

Overall I was pleased with my April Glam Bag and contents from Ipsy! The bag itself was cute and classy, and I was super happy with my new hand lotion and eye liner. I also liked the shadow duo, but I’m packing it away until later, I don’t wear a lot of warm colors in the spring and summer. The lip gloss was alright, although I prefer something more natural but the watermelon flavor was fun and perfect for summer, which is just around the corner. I think the cleanser is more suitable for my daughter and I’m sure she will be happy to add it to her beauty collection. The value for my items was around $71.50!
