The March 2023 Vegancuts Beauty Box theme was Refreshing Spring Beauty and there were 4 items and a bonus to help revive tired skin and hair. Vegancuts sends vegan and cruelty-free products and they offer a snack box too! See what I received in this month’s box below!

DEAL: Use the coupon code hellosub to get $5 off your first box on any Vegancuts subscription!   It can only be used once per customer, but it can be used on multiple subscriptions at once so long as they are in the same transaction.

The beauty items shipped in the same box as my snacks but they were placed in this reusable bag to keep them separate.

Nuria Defend Skin Shielding Essence ($36) This essence should be applied after cleansing and before moisturizer. It’s supposed to brighten and moisturize skin while evening out skin tone and on top of that, it supplies antioxidants. It’s a mostly clear gel with mini blobs of peach-colored niacinamide beads. Some of the other ingredients are glycerin, carob seed extract, ginseng, gold, and panthenol. Fragrance is listed last yet it smells strongly to me of something fruity/floral. The gel feels cooling once applied and doesn’t feel greasy once dried.

SoF Lemon Verbena Moisturizing Hand & Body Cream ($3) This is a fragranced body and hand lotion that’s made with ingredients such as shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, and lemon peel oil. It has a fruity lemon scent and it was absorbed quickly by my skin. After a while the lemon scent faded but the overall perfumed scent remained for a long time.

Dr. Botanicals Aloe Vera Superfood Eye Contour Cream ($9.90) This cream gel is supposed to help the under-eye area feel cool and soothed and of course hydrated upon application. Some of the ingredients listed are aloe, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, coffee extract, chamomile, and cucumber. Peppermint is in here and that, along with the water evaporating, would account for the cooling effect. I was less excited to see lemon juice and perfume listed but so far I haven’t experienced any irritation. You can’t feel the gel after it dries and the scent was very light and smelled a little bit like cucumbers.

Superzero Mini Shampoo Bar for normal/oily/fine hair ($8) This shampoo bar is meant especially for those with fine, oily, or limp hair and is packed in a recyclable paper box so there’s no plastic waste. I have a sensitive scalp and I am happy to say that this shampoo bar seemed gentle on my scalp, I didn’t have any problems after using it. I liked it a lot – after a few passes over wet hair I had enough suds to work into my scalp and ends and it worked like a dream. It was easy to rinse and I followed with my usual conditioner.

Kirk’s Head To Toe Nourishing Cleanser ($0.72) The card stated that there was a bonus item and I received this cleanser (your bonus item may vary). It’s fragrance-free and can be used from head to toe, although I use it exclusively as a body wash. It’s travel-friendly too!

This month’s box had a variety of beauty items, always a plus. I was especially happy with the shampoo bar, it worked well and didn’t irritate my scalp. I also liked the bonus item, unscented shower gel is a must have when I travel. I also liked the under eye cream, it helped revive that tired area and the cooling effect was refreshing. The lotion smelled good and I think the skin essence sounds helpful. The value for this collection (without the bonus item, which may vary) was around $57.
