They charged my card $7.60, 760.52 and $752.10 on 01 March 2023. I called my bank and they recommended that I wait it out to see if they correct the mistake. They did. The money was returned in 8 hours. It is terrifying to see that they did this. I don’t trust them.
They did that to me too. They refunded, are giving me two free boxes and they send me a $100 Walmart gift card, email.
I was pretty impressed.
I received a text from my bank about a potential fraudulent charge to my credit card. Thankfully, although the charge was attempted 3 times, Wells Fargo rejected it. I spoke with a banker who recommended I cancel my card, which I did. Now I am left to update all my monthly payments (insurance, power bills, etc) as well as online shopping sites and doctors offices. I have received no notification from Walmart. I read somewhere that Walmart is offering a $100 GC and 2 free boxes as compensation, but an unable to verify. I did send a scathing (or as scathing as I could be) email to [email protected] This is the company that charges for Walmart’s Beauty Box.
They charged me for 100 boxes this morning, $761.69 and though it was a big mistake on their part, they will try to get that money back to me in 5-10 business days. Oh, don’t worry Walmart – I just will have several overdraft fees at my bank plus the bank of the company and their fees. But that is not important to you guys. You’ll get my money back in a week or two. It isn’t a problem that I can’t buy gas or groceries or pay any other bill because of YOUR stupid mistake. I am so angry!
SPOILER – they charged me for 100 boxes instead of 1 – a $698 overcharge – beware.
Was just coming here to say the same thing! I got the email saying they billed me for $678! I had to get a new credit card last month and forgot to update my Walmart acct with the new cc info. So I think I dodged this bullet. But WTH Walmart?!?
