Tarte Cosmetics Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost Gel Moisturizer ($14) is the type of moisturizer that I don’t mind applying daily because it’s so lightweight and never greasy! The vegan, water-based formula is packed with electrolytes for maximum hydration, which also helps reduce signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles. Another thing to love about this gel moisturizer is the cooling sensation it brings! It’s a great way to awaken and refresh your skin no matter what time of the day, plus it works well under makeup.
First Aid Beauty Smoothing Body Lotion ($28) helps improve uneven skin, but without sacrificing the nourishment that it also needs. It contains 10% Lactic Acid (AHA) to resurface the skin’s top layer, as well as urea, colloidal oatmeal, and ceramides that provide intense hydration and keep irritation or redness away.
Ahava Smoothing Hand Cream ($24) is my daily companion in combating dry hands caused by winter’s freezing temperatures. It’s on standby after I wash my hands, so I can replenish the moisture right away and keep my hands soft, smooth, and supple. The formula is powered by antioxidant-rich kale and turmeric, plus witch hazel with anti-inflammatory benefits and allantoin that help soothe the skin. It’s quick to absorb as well, leaving zero residue!
Two drops of Fleur & Bee Nectar of the C Vitamin C Serum ($54) a day keeps skin dullness away! Formulated with a powerful combination of vitamin C, squalene, and hyaluronic acid, the serum improves dullness, targets discoloration, and keeps the skin youthful. The gel-like texture applies smoothly and absorbs easily – no stinging feeling afterward. It even smells good, with earthy, citrusy, and herbaceous scent notes.
For an even better glow-up this year, here’s Lucky Chick Liquid Eye Shadow ($22)! I received it in a golden shade, and I love how long-lasting it is. It stays on all day, so I don’t have to worry about reapplying. The formula is even enriched with cucumber extracts, making it gentle on the skin! It’s a great choice for a metallic eyeshadow – easy to apply, shimmers beautifully, and doesn’t look chunky at all.
Speaking of shimmers, Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk*r Face + Eye Bronzer & Highlighter Palette ($48) has got them too! This limited-edition palette includes long-wearing bronzers and silky smooth highlighters, so you can add dimension to your looks and give your skin a warm, sun-kissed glow. The shades are great for all skin tones, plus they are buildable and effortless to blend. They’re not harsh on the skin either!
I wasn’t expecting much but this month’s Ipsy Glam Bag Plus was a good curation of skincare and makeup, with an overall retail value of $190 (higher than the previous months). The palette and the liquid eyeshadow are perfect to be used together, while the rest of the items offer moisturizing and nourishing benefits that my skin badly needs at this time of the year – not to mention they’re full-sized and will go a long way!
