Ipsy Glam Bag for December 2022 was themed Oh, What Fun and came with makeup, skin care, and even a deep conditioner for my hair! Keep on reading to learn more about what we received this month!

Note: Ipsy sends many variations, so the bag I’m reviewing may not match everyone else’s.

Ipsy Glam Bag The bag itself is made of soft, plush fabric, similar to a stuffed animal or maybe a throw blanket. The zipper pull says “HOORAY” on one side and “IPSY” on the other. The inside is lined with nylon fabric.

Gloss Moderne Clean Luxury Hair Masque in Soleil ($16.50) I rarely step outside of my regular hair care products due to having a super sensitive scalp but I was able to apply this without rubbing it into my scalp and had no allergic reaction. This hair masque had a scent that is supposed to smell like summer in St. Tropez and made me think of coconuts. It wasn’t as slick as I thought it would be, my comb still got caught in tangles but on the positive side it didn’t weigh my hair down.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Firming Collagen Cream ($8.40) This is a plumping moisturizer for those who have all but oily skin. Collagen, peptides, niacinamide, glycerin, colloidal oatmeal, and shea butter are some of the soothing ingredients and there’s no added fragrance. I didn’t detect any scent, the cream was non-greasy, and it left a slight film on my skin. It can be used twice a day, alone or with a serum of some sort.

Byroe Rose Tea Eye Cream ($19) I was disappointed to get this in my bag, mainly because I received the full-sized product in last month’s Ipsy Glam Bag X. This has a jelly-like feel and leaves a cooling effect and it has that slick dimethicone primer feel to it that dries to a matte finish. It smells a little like roses and it has added fragrance, which is listed last. Some of the other ingredients include niacinamide, glycerin, and a few different hyaluronic acids.

Tarte Face Tape Foundation in Light Sand ($8) I was excited to try this product. I usually use a mineral powder but occasionally I like to do a full face but this didn’t work for me. First off, it was too pale for my skin, in a ghostly sort of way. Then it dried almost instantly so it was hard to blend (I tried using my fingers but then moved on to a damp makeup sponge). Plus it smelled like perfume. Overall, I wouldn’t buy this for myself and I usually like tarte products.

Chella Manifest Bronze Eyeshadow Palette ($20) If you are into warm shadow colors then this one was easy to apply and blend, plus it lasted all day long. It has three shimmers and a matte, and the color payoff is pretty vibrant. In fact, I looked in the rearview mirror and thought it looked super bright, almost like I had tangerine on my eyes (must have been the way the sun was hitting).

I’ve swatched the Tarte foundation on top and the Chella palette below, with the shimmers first and matte on bottom.

My Ipsy bag combo was a good one, with makeup, skincare, and hair care. The only downside was that I received an eye cream that was a repeat of what I received just last month. The hair conditioner didn’t irritate my scalp or weigh down my hair, plus it smelled like a beach vacation. The foundation could have matched my skin better. The face cream worked well and although I wasn’t a huge fan of the palette shades, I did like the performance and I can mix the shades with my other eye shadows. My bag combo had a value of around $72.

Below is the product information card I received.
