The December 2022 nmnl box had us feeling festive with its Mistletoe Makeovers theme! The box was packed with everything we need to celebrate in style, from an eyeshadow palette to a lip tint and more. Peach Butt Care Pack. Butt sheet masks… now I’ve seen everything! These will allegedly help keep your skin smooth and tight but really it’s just a sticker you put on your butt for 15 minutes. I would have been more interested if they were the heating kind like I use under my eyes, but these were just a bit too weird for me!
Hydrogel Glam Lip Mask. Keep your pout perfect for those holiday parties with this hydrogel mask. I love hydrogel masks because the unique texture means you aren’t dripping serum everywhere like with a cloth mask.
Lovisia Face Mask. The Pokémon fan in your life with surely approve of this adorable Mew mask!
Lovisia Sanrio Eyeshadow Palette. Lovisia does lots of collabs with popular characters and now here is a Sanrio item! Tuxedo Sam the adorably dapper penguin graces the packaging of this neutral eyeshadow quad. Swatches down below!
Sumikko Gurashi Hand Cream. You all know I love the Sumikkos, and this is a strawberry-scented hand cream. Winter cold always does a number on my hands so this is a great addition to my purse – the strawberry scent is so yummy!
Chocho Lab Switch On Eye Shadow. A simple but versatile eyeshadow single that can be used all over, tin the crease, or as an eyeliner.
Chocho Lab Switch On Velvet Lip Tint. A gorgeous burgundy matte lip tint. I found this very comfortable to wear!

The December box wrapped up another year of nmnl with colours and styles perfect for the holiday season! The eye makeup and lip products make a great match, and I also appreciate the inclusion of the masks and hand cream which helps avoid skin dryness during winter. It was a fun curation overall! Tuxedo Sam, Sumikkogurashi, and Mew from Pokemon even made an appearance in this month’s box, which added a touch of cuteness to some of the beauty products!
nmnl (nomakenolife) is a monthly beauty subscription box by the brains behind Tokyo Treat and Yume Twins. Each box has 8-9 Japanese and Korean beauty items, which may include skincare, makeup, hair care, bath & body items, and beauty tools. The subscription is $35 per month, but it can go lower if you subscribe to a longer subscription plan. It’s $33.5 per month on a 3-month prepaid plan, $32 per month on a 6-month prepaid plan, and $31.5 on a 12-month prepaid plan. Shipping is $12.50 to the US, and is about the same for other countries.
