Themed LIGHT & WONDER, the Winter 2022 box was filled with a luxurious collection of lifestyle and skin care products from the Margot Elena family of brands, including The Cottage Greenhouse, Lollia, Infinite She, and TokyoMilk. Winter can be drying for the skin, but with The Cottage Greenhouse Hand Sanitizer in Lemon & Aloe ($21), you’ll get clean, hydrated, and good-smelling hands for the whole season! It’s a huge bottle and very handy during these times. It has a liquid consistency (not gel), which I appreciate more since it dries on the hand faster. Although it contains alcohol, it’s not drying at all but adds moisture to the skin – thanks to aloe! The antioxidant-rich lemon oil naturally cleanses the skin while improving texture. The sanitizer has a citrusy scent, which is really nice and fresh.
Another massive item in the box is LOLLIA In Love EAU DE PARFUM in Classic Petal ($68). The scent comes in a beautiful glass bottle featuring flower prints on top! Scent notes include apple blossom, jasmine, and rose. I love that it’s very calm and gentle, with a subtle hint of sweetness and citrus. I’m excited to wear this on a chilly winter day. Plus, the container looks luxurious. This perfume will look good sitting on any vanity table!
I also received a TOKYOMILK Dark Soy Wax Candle in Eclipse ($20), and it’s an exclusive item! The candle comes in a black tin can, with a musky aroma that leans more on the masculine side. It possesses sultry and dark scent notes of smoked amber, combined with black anise spice, refreshing mint leaf, and exotic gardenia, which fits the season well.
LOLLIA Wish Mini Dusting Powder in Sugared Pastille ($46) is another exclusive item from the box. I just can’t enough of all these products with beautiful and elegant packaging! The dusting powder has a feminine and warm fragrance with a slight touch of sweetness – but not too strong. This dusting powder is talc and shimmer-free, helping you stay fresh all day while smelling great. The container was housed in a cardboard tube (which looks old school), featuring a French-inspired blue foulard design and finished with gold bee accents. Also, the powder puff that came with it has a cute signature Lollia Ribbon bow and is extremely soft. It’s cute and would look great when displayed as well!
TOKYOMILK Pure Decadence Salt Soak in Golden Hour ($18) is a must-have for bath time. This exclusive item comes in a tin can, which you can later reuse. As soon as you open the hinged top, you’ll be welcomed with a great scent that will transport you to a relaxing spa even though it still is wrapped in paper. The champagne and citrus scent is indeed perfect for the golden hour! It delivers a next-level freshness that will give you your well-deserved me-time in the form of a relaxing bath. With its lovely tin packaging, you can just place this somewhere in the bath, and it would look oh-so-pretty!
Of course, greeting cards are a staple in this seasonal box. This time, I received a set of three INFINITE SHE Holiday Greeting Cards ($16). I love the assortment of the cards – there’s white, navy blue, and stripey pink and red that looks candy cane-inspired. The Happy New Year Card is simple but cute, with a vibrant and metallic foil-stamped 2023 greeting. Meanwhile, the one with the navy blue background sparkles and shines with its disco ball design and cursive text. The last one is the Sleigh All-Day greeting card, which looks festive and lively with its metallic sparkle! Each card comes with an envelope, which means they’re ready to be sent whenever you wish.
To keep hands soft and well-moisturized during the cold winter months, the box also included INFINITE SHE Ultra Lush Hand Cream in Fearless 11/1968 ($22). It arrived in a slide box packaging with a huge I AM FEARLESS text printed on the side. Packed in a tin tube, you can easily squeeze the product out. It has a thick consistency but it’s fast absorbing, leaving no sticky or greasy feeling after. Formulated with shea butter and mango butter, this hand cream provides deep hydration to the skin. Scent notes include wild geranium and rosewood. The fresh floral scent with a little splash of citrus is simply uplifting. It’s also vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, paraben-free, and phthalate-free!
The last surprise in the box is a lifestyle item, and it’s a “Beauty Within” Tote Bag. It’s bright in pink with a rosy and floral design, plus a “Beauty Within” text in front. Meanwhile, the back features a plaid pattern with roses. And yes, it’s an exclusive item too! The interior has a small pocket where you can slip in small pieces of paper or trinkets. The bag is not too big but not too small either. It’s sized just right for carrying your essentials when you need to go out.
This season’s curation is amazing! Everything in it looks luxurious and pretty, and I can’t get enough of them. The packaging aesthetic is on another level, one of the things I really like about Margot Elena’s line of brands. Plus, I appreciate how the individual products are pleasantly scented! With all these lovely inclusions, it’s hard to choose a favorite from the box. I enjoyed every single item, from the sanitizer to the tote bag. Plus, there are three greeting cards to send this holiday season. Margot Elena Discovery Box is always a pleasant surprise every quarter. I gifted the hand cream as a last minute gift to someone i forgot to buy a Christmas gift for. I’m a little sad that I didn’t get to try it. Everything else in this box was awesome but I’m so over getting sanitizer in these boxes. I will never use up what I have.
I was actually looking forward to receiving the hand sanitizer, but the one they sent me will expire 03/08/2023, giving me less than three months to use it.
