Ipsy Glam Bag December 2022 was packed with beauty essentials to help us prepare for parties and celebrations this holiday season! Themed OH, WHAT FUN!, it delivered a beauty refresh to spike up our festive mood and spirit. Featured brands this month include Ahava, Ciate London, and more! Read on to find out more about this holiday beauty haul!
Note: Ipsy sends many variations, so the bag we’re reviewing may not match everyone else’s.
The Ipsy Glambag for the month is bold, bright, and lovely! Made with velvet material, it fits the cold winter season really well. The front part features a pink and red split design, while the back is bright orange. The gold zipper pull with HOORAY embossed print and pink inner lining added to its glam. I love the soft feel of this bag!

I received Ciate London Wonderwand Mascara ($22 Full-Size 9.5ml) in Black Magic for a volumizing and lengthening effect on the lashes! It helps lift the lashes for up to 24 hours without clumping, flaking, or smudging. With an hourglass-shaped wand and fuzzy bristles, it helps coat all the lashes and gives a fanned look. Also, it’s fiber-free and pleasantly long-lasting. Just wiggle the wand from roots to tips and repeat until you reach your desired volume. It’s vegan-friendly and gluten-free as well!

For creating a dreamy glam look, here’s Chella Manifest Bronze Eyeshadow Palette ($20). There are four versatile shades – three of which are shimmers, and one is matte. Each one is highly pigmented with a smooth buttery texture that glides smoothly to the lids and creases of the eye. There’s no fallout either! Whether you wear one alone or layer several shades, you’ll get that lovely bronzey look with the right amount of shine. I like that they’re buildable and easy to blend, which makes it easy to create a simple day or glam night look. And since it is compact, you can take it on the go – even on your holiday travels!

Ahava Deadsea Water Mineral Hand Cream ($9.18) helps me maintain smooth and soft hands during these cold months. It’s made only with skin-friendly ingredients that are mindfully and responsibly sourced to keep it as clean as it can be, including witch hazel leaf, allantoin, and osmoter™. Since it’s alcohol-free, it doesn’t have any drying effect. With all these amazing ingredients, hands are gifted with a smooth texture, soothing benefits, and moisture! It seeps instantly into the skin and doesn’t leave any sticky or greasy feeling. The floral scent is invigorating. You can also use this cream to relieve dry and cracked heels.

Whatever season it is, a good fragrance can make you feel great. I’m happy to receive Kenzie Buttercup Babe Fragrance ($5.50) in the glam bag. The butterfly design on the packaging over a light blue background sends a refreshing, fragrant vibe already. It has top scent notes of citrus waters, dew-kissed leaves & sweet nectars, and a base of blonde woods and sheer musks. In the middle are buttercup, daisy, freesia, magnolia, lily, and peony. The overall aroma is floral with a fresh scent and a dash of warmth. It’s just a bit too girly for my taste but smells okay. It’s more fitting for the spring or summer season if you ask me. The fragrance lingers for quite some time too.

Being out and about in winter may leave your hair dry and messy, but this Pure Brazilian Leave-In Conditioner ($3.83) will do the trick and restore your tresses. It draws in moisture to keep the hair silky, soft, and smooth despite the cold weather. With ingredients like Bulgarian rose water, bombyx silk, quartz, and crushed pink sea pearls, this hair product not only repairs breakage but also pampers the hair, resulting in improved elasticity and manageability. The conditioner is also color safe and even offers UV protection! Although it smells nice and does well on the hair, the downside is that it contains silicones. To use, simply spray from roots to ends and comb thoroughly.
This month’s Ipsy Glam Bag can make your spirits bright with beauty products to help you have a festive and cheery winter celebration. There were deluxe samples in the bag – including a mascara to create flattering lashes, an eyeshadow palette with a great color payoff, and a hand cream that smells and feels nice when applied. The Kenzie fragrance is also good, but I’ll just pass on it. The same goes for the leave-in conditioner. The box has a value of more or less $40. It’s a good deal, especially when you only paid $13.
Each glam bag also comes with a card. It contains the theme for the month and brief descriptions of the products I received. See it here:
