Hygge Box is perfect for those who like to get cozy and comfy in their homes while connecting with their mind, body, and soul. The theme this month was Warm & Cozy and featured several items that provided that pleasant, comforting feeling just as the days turned colder and darker. See what I received below! Please note that this is a review of the Deluxe Box and that extra item is at the end of the review.

Hygge Haus Stargazing String Lights My daughter loves all of the lights that show up in this box. I am sure she will be delighted to take these back to college – she has done her best to make her room all hygge-ly (or maybe hyggelig is the correct form?). There’s a button battery pack and you need to open the case and pull out the plastic tab that keeps the batteries fresh until they arrive to your door. You could wrap the lights around a mini tree or vase, or place inside a wide-mouth mason jar.

Truffle Therapy Morning Dew Gel Cleanser ($25) I’m familiar with this brand and find that their products are too fragranced for my face but I can see how it goes so well with the gold and brown color palette happening this month. The version on the brand’s website has a pump instead of a cap and that would have made it much easier for me to turn this into a fancy hand soap but I think I can just pour it into my hands. I tried it that way and it lathered well and of course it smells good too, kind of a warm floral note going on here.

Wood Stove Kitchen Spiced Apple Hot Toddy ($16 for similar) I linked to a similar item, although this product has a label especially for Hygge Box subscribers, what a cool touch! You may mix 2 ounces of this stuff with 2 ounces of hot water and sip like that or add 1-2 ounces of a little something something like maybe whiskey, rum, brandy, or vodka. I only have rum so rum it is but again, you don’t have to add alcohol. I zapped 1/4 cup of water in the microwave for 30 seconds and added 1/4 cup of mix and decided to skip the rum and this was a delightful, not at all heavy take on apple cider. I stopped drinking apple cider because I felt it was too rich (and almost gagged after getting the large caramel version at Starbucks) but this has restored my faith in that classic fall and winter sip. I stored the remainder in the fridge and plan on finishing it over the course of a week.

heavenly by Schottinger Almonds in Truffle Chocolate I found this brand online but not this product. It seems like Schottinger is known for its licorice candies, but this is strictly unroasted almonds covered with chocolate truffle and then dusted in cocoa powder. Heavenly is right, these are downright decadent!

Hygge Haus Gnome This little guy just arrived and already has a place on the corner of my computer printer, so I can see him while I work. He has a weighted bottom and sits very nicely actually, without tipping over.

Deluxe Box Item

Vince Camuto Scarf ($38 listed value) My winter coat is brown so this scarf, which is made of 100% polyester and has fringe along the ends, should match perfectly. It’s about 77″ long not including the fringe and about 26″ across and is soft and cozy.

This was yet another winning box from Hygge! They come up with themes each month that I am thrilled to receive, and Warm & Cozy happened to arrive just as the Central Texas area entered an extended period of cool and wet weather (which is kind of unusual for Austin at this, or really any, time of year). The chocolate covered almonds are sitting on my desk and I have a couple every day and I still haven’t ran out of them yet, and I’m sure it’s been at least a week since I opened them. I just tried the hot toddy it was very tasty, and warmed me from the inside out. The scarf has my neck covered (I still take walks outside in this weather, at least when it’s not raining), and the gnome is content on the edge of my printer. I know my daughter will love the lights (and she might want to take the gnome too) and while the face cleanser isn’t right for my face, I am happy to use it as a hand soap, plus it smelled so good!
