Covergirl TrueBlend Base Business Skin Primer ($4.74) Coconut water is the star ingredient of this primer to keep skin feeling hydrated and smooth. This makes for a great base to apply your makeup over!
NYX Color Correcting Primer. Blue primer can cancel out yellow tones in those of us with fair skin. This is a nice lightweight primer, but when swatched I think I prefer the Covergirl primer for the extra hydration.
Laura Mercier Velour Extreme Matte Lipstick ($30) A very pretty coral shade. Laura Mercier products are very nice and I find their shades are great for work due to the flattering shades.
Kaja Blendable Highlighter ($28.01) This is a fun moon-shaped highlighter in medium bronze. I was a bit worried this would be too dark for my pale skin, but it worked out! See below:
Swatches! Laura Mercier is on the left, and Kaja is on the right. I was pleasantly surprised that the Kaja wasn’t as dark as I thought it would be!
Elizabeth Arden Palette ($42). This huge palette was a GWP/priced with purchase product. Unfortunately, EA is not cruelty-free so I didn’t keep this but I think this is a fantastic palette with so many colours and shades. I really love the three neutral eyeshadow shades in the bottom left. The lip colours are also pretty varied and with palettes like these, it can be fun to mix the shades to make your own!
The September/October box had some nice full-sized items. I thought it was a bit disappointing to have two different primers, I would have preferred another item! But I appreciated that Covergirl and NYX are both cruelty-free brands!
