The August Vellabox contained one of four different candle scents inspired by the end of summer and I received the fragrance for those who look for citrus notes in their candle! I also received silicone baking cups as a bonus and that is a really helpful item, especially with baking season around the corner. I am reviewing The Vivere Box, which comes with a 16 ounce candle and is $38 a month.

Net Zero Co. Silicone Baking Cups (set of 6, purchase a set of 12 for $12.99) I once received a set of a similar item in a baking box and I have been using mine ever since, but I only have 8 so now I can bake an entire dozen muffins without resorting to using paper liners for the extras! I find that muffins slip out easily when I use silicone liners (they always stuck to the paper liners) so this is a winner for me. The brand’s website has a lot of great items to help one strive towards achieving some progress in the zero waste movement.

MOCO Candles Paloma ($24 for a 7 ounce candle, which would make this value around $55!) I received the scent for those who love citrus fragranced candles, as this candle has notes of grapefruit, lime, and tequila. The burn time for the 7 ounce candle is around 45 hours so I would imagine this would burn at least that long. The scent used is phthalate-free and the wax is soy grown in the U.S. MOCO has some sustainability practices that they follow including using a responsible recycling program and offering 30% savings when you send back your empty candle jar. Once I lit the candle I could smell the fragrance within just a few minutes and the throw was ginormous, I could smell it from neighboring rooms. It’s not only the strongest candle I’ve received from Vellabox, but quite possibly from any candle brand I’ve ever received (and I have quite the collection).

Here’s a couple of box opening pictures. There’s always a beautiful picture inside the lid of the box. There’s even a curated Spotify playlist and you don’t have to pay for the Spotify service, and it’s pretty much the only music streaming service that I use now.

The info card lists both the candle brand and the bonus product brand along with descriptions of those items.

The candle comes in a reusable bag too!

I was blown away by how strong my MOCO candle was this month, it’s one of the strongest I’ve ever burned before and the throw was pretty far too. I thought the scent sounded just right for summer and while I’m not sure what tequila smells like I can say the Paloma fragrance was sweet and fruity. The bonus baking cups are heartily welcomed in my kitchen, I can’t wait to make banana nut muffins when the temperature starts to dip.
