TheraBox is here to provide pampering self-care items along with products to help promote joy throughout the month. This is my first time reviewing this box and I couldn’t wait to see what it was all about. I received a cute tote bag, a deck of cards with a twist, and more. See all of the items in the July box – the theme was Escapade!

Nectar Chatham Sunglasses ($59) My favorite sunglass style is Wayfarer by far, but these are pretty close in looks, maybe a little bigger and probably more feminine. According to the website these frames are prescription ready, which I found interesting because my next pair of sunglasses will have progressive lenses. In the meantime, I can wear these to block out 100% of the sun’s UVA and UVB rays. The arms are kind of hard to move but hopefully they will loosen up with continued use. The carrying case doubles as a microfiber cleaning cloth.

The Friendly Patch Boost Energy Patch ($30) There are 28 individual patches inside this pack that can be worn one at a time to boost energy. They have ingredients such as guarana, yerba mate, green coffee, green tea, and caffeine. In fact, all of those ingredients contain caffeine. I’m not sure that this is safe for me to take thanks to my blood pressure but the disclaimer only mentioned keeping it away from children or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Gemma Simone 14kt Gold Plated Sun, Stars & Leaf Earrings ($29.99) There wasn’t any info on this adorable set of earrings on the Gemma Simone site but TheraBox says they are 14kt gold plated. There’s a set of leaves, stars, and suns and they are dainty and perfect for my younger daughter (as I don’t have pierced ears). It seems like they would be comfortable to wear as they are lightweight.

Minimo Candy Edible Lip Scrub ($18.95) This lip scrub is promoted as being edible, just lick your lips when finished, but I wiped it off with a tissue followed by a damp washcloth. It has sugar and some oils and it gets its color naturally. It has a light scent/flavor, maybe fruity bubblegum-ish? It left my lips soft after using.

8greens Peach Tea Effervescent Tablet ($13.99) I think the idea here is to help you get some nutrients in a way that looks and sounds healthy and that tastes not so bad. I want to go down as saying that just because something is good for you doesn’t mean a whole lot of it is better. For instance, there’s enough vitamin C in here as you would find in 6 oranges, but your body can only use so much at once and passes the rest right on out of your body. There’s 375% of your daily value of vitamin B12 but like vitamin C, it’s a water-soluble vitamin so your body doesn’t store it for later use. It’s made with 8 green foods like spinach, aloe, and spirulina. It is sweetened with stevia and it’s not too bad but kind of tastes like sweet peach and hay. I preferred to drink it quickly rather than to savor it as I would normally do with tea.

Mindfulmix Mindful Mix Cards ($24.14) These are perfect for self-care! It’s a set of 52 cards broken down into 3 sections: breathing, stretching, and meditation. If you need to take a break then grab one of the cards and complete the task, like focusing on your breathing or listening to your favorite song.

Lifted Co. Paradise Skies Incense + Holder ($12) I appreciate that this set of incense sticks came with a holder for the ash to drop down on while it’s burning. There are 20 sticks inside the bag and they are in the Paradise Skies fragrance with notes of sea air, Himalayan salt, and driftwood. I usually think of incense as smelling something like spices but this has a perfumed scent before burning and I can smell it throughout my office. I like it much better when it’s burning, well, I mean smoking (make sure to blow it out almost immediately after lighting it up). I set it on a cookie sheet just in case any ashes decided to land somewhere other than in the holder. This is one of the strongest incense sticks I’ve ever encountered and I had to dunk it in water before it was halfway through, it was super strong!

Roobie Self Care Club Jar Canvas Tote ($30) This tote bag has such a sweet illustration, a jar of hearts! It’s about 15″ x 11″ and pretty standard in size, maybe it won’t hold enough for a day at the beach but should be roomy enough for sunglasses, a book, some snacks, and water bottle plus sunscreen.

I am already experiencing more joy thanks to TheraBox! I especially liked the lip scrub and tote bag, plus the incense was a great way to make my home smell good. The sunglasses are just my style and I also liked getting some extra vitamins via the fizzy drink drops. The card deck with a twist will help when I’m feeling overwhelmed. I will take the earrings to my daughter next time I visit her at college and she may need the energy boost patches when midterms draw near. The retail value of this box was around $218!

Got as a gift. 2nd box came alot later than the first. 3rd box never arrived. Post office doesn’t have a record of it and they still won’t resend or refund. You would think a big company like this would treat their customers better. My son said he will just report them to the better business bureau.
