For every backcountry adventure, a good source of light is needed so you can see and examine the surroundings properly. Gladly, the box included a Frog & Co. Pop Up Solar Pocket Light ($29.97), which can be charged either using solar energy or through a USB port. Aside from being a bright camping lantern, it also doubles as a mini flashlight. It can also be used as a power bank, allowing you to charge your phone for emergencies. This lamp has three light modes: low, high, and flashing SOS. It’s lightweight, waterproof, and weather-resistant. I also love that it collapses, making it easy to carry on the go and saves on space too.

This Fishbone 2.0 Piranha ($9.99) helps backpackers to make loops and lines without knotting, which makes it easy to set up and undo. The fishbone arrives either made from stainless steel or titanium with a mighty hold. Edges are smoothened to avoid scratching other gears you have. It comes with a 5′ paracord and is readily available to use. A key ring was also included so you can attach it to your bag and it’s easy to reach when needed. What I also like about it is it can be used as a bottle opener, making it super easy and convenient!

Exploring the backcountry comes with unpredictable scenarios, including rips and tears. But with the GearAid Tenacious Tape Repair Tape ($5.95), you’re covered! This product is made with nylon and works effectively with different materials such as nylon, polyester, fleece, vinyl, rubber, non-oiled leather, and GORE-TEX fabric. No sewing or heat is needed. Just peel and stick it to patch ripped tents, ski pants, hammocks, or puffy coats and quickly fix minor damages.

UCO Storm Proof Matches ($5.99) can help you start a fire, whatever the weather is. There are 25 matches in the pack, and each of them burns for at least 15 seconds. They’re easy to light up as normal matches would, and they’re incredibly windproof, dirtproof, and waterproof. Even when you dip a lighted one in the waters, it will relight on its own!

Nomadik doesn’t disappoint with their outdoor item picks. This time, the item inclusions were all heavily essential for backcountry explorations! There’s a collapsible lamp that doubles as a flashlight, a fishbone tool to make knotless rope ties, a roll of repair tape to mend rips and tears, and stormproof matches to easily light up a fire. They’re practically compact and lightweight, which makes them easy to slip into your backpack and bring wherever your adventure takes you. If you’re an outdoor enthusiast who wants to collect high-quality tools and accessories to use in your adventures, this subscription is one of your best bets!

Each box includes an exclusive sticker for Nomadik subscribers. There’s also a pamphlet explaining the items with product descriptions. Here’s a closer look:
