Kinder Beauty Box is a vegan beauty subscription box. This subscription sends out two variations every month and I received the PURIFY BOX for September (the other box was called the BRILLIANCE BOX). I received a hydrating face oil, sea salt hair mist, and more! The difference between the PURIFY box and the BRILLIANCE box is that the Pimple Patch Pack is replaced with a Brilliant Black Toothpaste.

Moonlit Skincare PM Pimple Patch ($29) These patches are made of hydrocolloid and cellulose and you simply place one patch over a pimple and those ingredients work to absorb the filling of the blemish and will hopefully make it look better overnight. I don’t suffer from acne at this point in my life so I will gift these to my daughter, she loves patches like this. There are two different sizes and a total of 108 patches on the three sheets.

Volition Apple Cider Vinegar Resurfacing Peel Pads ($2.13; buy a pack of 30 for $64 at Sephora or $19 at the brands website, must be on sale) This pad reminded me, texture-wise, of a large Stridex pad. It contains glycolic acid, witch hazel, apple cider vinegar, some citrus oils, and alcohol among its ingredients. It’s supposed to brighten the skin by removing dead skin cells, oil, and dirt. According to the content creator/blogger in a video on the Sephora website, it can also “get rid of acne forever”, yet I noticed that her (Vivakayla) YouTube channel no longer has videos so I can’t see why she made that claim. As for the pad itself, I used it on my throat and neck and just a little on my chin because I don’t want to use those ingredients on my dry, rosacea-prone skin and didn’t really experience any tingling or burning, but alpha hydroxy acids can cause a sunburn so make sure to use an SPF if you don’t use one already.

Franklin & Whitman Sea Salt Hair Mist Texturizing Spray ($19.95) Please note that this item looks very different from the one shown on the brand’s website, which is in a blue glass bottle with a heavy duty-looking sprayer. I discovered that this product has a hard time coming out and only sprays when it wants, I guess the salt must clog it up somewhere along the way. It’s a texturizing spray that is supposed to give that tousled day at the beach type of look to hair. I sprayed it on at the end of the day and I think it made my hair look wind blown. It has three different salts plus aloe and sea kelp and is scented with a blend of essential oils, which mainly smells like lemongrass. Seriously, I can pump it 10 times and it might spray on the 11th try, then I have to repeat it again, 10 blank pumps to 1 pump of product.

Osea Essential Hydrating Oil ($68) This has a whole lot of plant oils plus some essential oils and it’s OSEA’s first product ever way back in the day. It’s meant for dry and sensitive types but beware that some of the essential oils (namely, bergamot and lemon peel) can cause irritation and make the skin sensitive to the sun, OSEA could leave all of those essential oils out and vastly improve this product. I used two pumps and that was way too much, and I never felt like my skin soaked it all up, and there was product sitting on top of my skin. It also smelled strongly of those essential oils, with geranium being the strongest note. I will tuck this away until winter to help protect skin from the effects of the cold and wind.

W3LL PEOPLE Travel Plant Powderfoliant ($10) I had a look around this brand’s website and hope that Kinder puts some of their makeup products in a future box, I’d really like to try those out. This is a dry powder that you can place in your hand, add a little bit of water, and then apply to the face to exfoliate and soften the skin. Some of the ingredients are kaolin, perlite, charcoal, and green tea. It has a natural scent that I’m not sure how else to explain and feels lightly gritty at first and then turns into a gentle milky foam. It left my skin soft afterwards, I feel like one of the ingredients may have left a film over my skin but it wasn’t heavy. I liked it and it wasn’t as scrubby/irritating as some other products out there, it was just right.

Most of this month’s Kinder Beauty products were for the face, although one product was for hair. I especially liked the W3LL PEOPLE powder exfoliant, it was gentle yet seemed effective. I also liked the OSEA face oil, although I would love it if it didn’t have those potentially irritating essential oils. The ACV pad and salty hair mist were fun to try but not items I would normally use, but I know my daughter will appreciate the pimple patches. The value for my box was around $98.
