My Lyric Massager Review

Here’s a review of the things I love about the Lyric therapy device:

1. It’s sleek, elegant, and beautifully designed. It even comes in colors, so pick your fave. It’s not going to look weird, and it comes with its own storage. It’s basically designed to look pretty in addition to being an amazing wellness tool.
2. It comes with 4 different massage attachments. Lyric’s four attachments mean that everyone in our family has something they feel comfortable with.
3. The four intensity settings are appropriate to my needs. I don’t feel completely jackhammered by the first level! I could even buy this for my grandma because it has settings that are gentle enough for her to use.
4. It has guided therapy sessions that are based on acupressure, and wow, they really work! When I first started one it guided me to put the attachment on my palm, and it’s just something I would’ve never thought of myself!
5. The guided therapy is on the device not on an app you have to look at.
6. Lyric updates itself via wifi (again, no subscription!), and they’ve been updating the device with new video therapies to follow!
7. I find Lyric useful for both relaxation and pain relief. It’s more of a holistic wellness device than a beat-the-lactic-acid-out-of-your-muscles device. And this is just what I need!

I find this device really easy to hold, even for my smaller hands (I’m under 5 feet tall).

The best thing is that the massager is portable, so you can easily take it with you when you travel!

The device comes in a variety of color options: terracotta, blueprint, stone, slate, and granite. The smart massager even comes with an extension handle so you can easily massage the hard-to-reach areas of the body. Other top-level massage guns at this price point don’t include this feature. As a short person with short arms, I find this incredibly valuable!

Lyric Massager vs. Theragun

Here’s a size comparison to Therabody’s Theragun Mini (see our review of Theragun Mini). If Theragun is too strenuous for you but you still want to try a massager, Lyric is the right device for you. I mentioned to one of my besties that I’d gotten this new massager and it’s so relaxing and so much better with my sensitive back, that she bought it right away. She’s now a fan too!

To use, remove the Lyric from the dock first and hold down the trigger button to turn on the device. Then, you can explore the menu of therapy options including Pain Relief, Calm, and Energy.

Select from guided or manual (non-guided) therapy options. To cycle through vibration speeds, simply press the trigger button until you find the speed that’s most comfortable for you.

You can do a self-guided session or follow the super easy prompts right on the screen. To return it to sleep mode, just press and hold the trigger button. Cleaning the massager is not a problem, all you need to do is wipe or spot clean the device.
