Ipsy’s first pick for me this month was the Alo Glow System Radiance Serum ($68)! Created for all skin types, this balancing formula helps brighten and clarify the skin with hyaluronic acid, vitamin C from amla superberry, and powerful fermented ingredients. Consistent use promises a dewy and glowing complexion and softened fine lines. Just 2 to 3 drops of the serum would be enough per application, and it can be used in the morning or at night. It’s hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic as well. This is a great way to prep the skin before your much-needed vacay!
Natural-looking eyebrows are easier to achieve with Ipsy’s next pick: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown ($23). Unlike regular eyebrow pencils, this one is super slim. It’s great to use on the brows for precise detailing, as it creates strokes that mimic the hair. The formula doesn’t smudge, keeping your brows on fleek from morning to night!
Dry lips can ruin a look, that’s why it’s a must to have a hydrating lip balm wherever you go. The next Ipsy pick is the Lord Jones Lip Balm ($12), which contains 25 mg of premium, full-spectrum CBD to improve dry lips and keep them well-moisturized. According to their website, the CBD used in this balm is derived from select hemp cultivated in the USA and contains <0.3% THC. Other ingredients are extra virgin olive oil, shea butter, mimosa wax, grapefruit oil, rosemary oil, and beeswax.
The last item that Ipsy picked for me was the Farmacy Filling Good Hyaluronic Acid Plumping Serum ($48). This is specially formulated to plump the skin, absorbing easily to combat loss of firmness and elasticity. Key ingredients include advanced, full-spectrum hyaluronic acid, encapsulated thyme extract, and vegan collagen peptides. They work together to reduce signs of aging and to keep the skin hydrated. The scent of this serum also reminds me of natural honey!
My Choices
Sunscreen is a must-have in my book, that’s why I picked SUPERGOOP! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 ($27)! This provides broad spectrum SPF 40 protection and it also works well under makeup because it’s oil-free. Ingredients include frankincense to soothe the skin, and a complex derived from meadow-foam seed to increase hydration levels. It’s clean and reef-friendly, so you can take it on your vacation without worry and it doesn’t leave a white cast either!
This month’s Glambag Plus ensures I have the right amount of beauty items to help prepare for, and enjoy, a summer vacation! Ipsy’s picks are all on point, which included two serums, a hydrating lip balm, and an ultra-thin brow pencil. My favorite item, however, is the sunscreen I picked because it applies smoothly, and aside from providing protection from the sun’s rays, it also has hydrating properties that other sunscreens don’t have. It’s a summer staple and it’s also environmentally friendly so I can’t ask for more. The overall retail value of this curation is $178!
