Cat Kit by Pusheen Box is a coordinated box of goodies for your cat, although some items need a human to operate. If you want Pusheen products for yourself, you can check out their sister box, Pusheen Box. This quarter the box had a kitty café theme (oops, I guess it was Sweet Picnic!) which matched what I received in the Pusheen Box, they had similar patterns on all of the items. See what we received in this box below. I’m told items in the Cat Kit may include toys, homeware, grooming supplies, and more.

Jingle Balls I thought these balls might be too heavy for my cats to play with, and they kind of remind me of the wheels on the bottom of an office chair! I took the Pusheen shipping box and punched out the perforated holes, placed one of these inside the box, and then sprinkled some catnip inside. My cat was so excited to bat at the ball, it was hilarious!

Here’s Zoey, she managed to capture the ball!

Get it Sunny!

Catnip Teether I wasn’t a fan of this toy. I placed some loose catnip inside the back opening and then it all instantly fell out. What was I missing here? After doing a search for a similar item I came across other teethers but guess what? The long slit in the back (see picture above) is for slipping a filled bag of catnip inside — imagine a tea bag with the tea inside, and that didn’t come with the toy. Was this supposed to be self-explanatory?

Sunny gave it a sniff.

Plush Crinkle Toy This has Pusheen looking like a flaky French pastry! The card says this is a crinkle toy but it’s not, and it doesn’t have catnip in it either. So, a stuffed toy for my cats. They weren’t having it.

Teaser Toy Meh. My cats weren’t too excited about this toy, and I’m not happy with how short it is — my cats have sharp claws and I don’t want to get scratched if they decide to attack.

Feeding Mat This was my favorite item of the box, besides the box itself. My cats make a mess when eating, and generally they only eat dry food so it should be easy to keep clean. I wouldn’t feel so confident if my cats ate wet food though, but you can spot clean it when necessary. It reminds me of a large mouse pad in size and material and it needs to air out before being used.

Foldaway Cat Bed Here is another item where it would have been nice to have a picture of it in use. Does it seriously just lie on the floor like a mat and the cats are supposed to crawl inside? I can’t see that happening, mine seem to be claustrophobic. It has nubs on the bottom like slipper socks and is very cute.

Sunny took a peek inside.

Faux Leather Collar and Charm We received a collar and charm last shipment and the collar hasn’t left Zoey’s neck since! I wasn’t a fan of the last charm, every time Zoey would shake her head the charm would smack her in the face, so I removed the charm.

The collar is easy to put on and remove and this quarter it has café treats all around.

The charm has Pusheen looking like a cinnamon roll! While these items are cute, I don’t think we need them every quarter. My other cat won’t wear a collar and Zoey looks so cute with the collar we received last time that I can’t bear to take it off of her.

Here’s several pictures of my cats being silly and playing with the box, which was their favorite part of the whole subscription!

I was a fan of the food mat, I think it looks cute and keeps things corralled. The rolling balls were another hit item and while the collar was cute, the previous collar is still in perfect shape so it doesn’t need to be replaced yet. The teether was a bit of a miss, it would have been better if it came with those catnip sachets to place inside. The crinkle toy was also a disappointment, because there’s no crinkle, it’s just a stuffed toy and doesn’t even have catnip inside. The cat bed might get some use, maybe they will like it when the weather turns cooler, I can’t really say for sure though. The teaser toy was ok but my cats get super excited when playing and I don’t want to get scratched so a longer “string” would have been better for my needs. Don’t get me wrong, all of the items were super cute and adorable but for my cats needs, they weren’t all that practical or even usable.
