The assets of temporarily-defunct subscription box brand Alltrue have been acquired and the subscription is now resuming. Alltrue states they have “resumed operations under new ownership, is now on a firm financial footing, and remain[] committed to preserving the excellent Alltrue product experience, while improving core operations and shipping timelines.”

They note further: “[a]s part of this transition, we’re committed to being transparent with the community, and to making changes that will allow us to ship boxes at the beginning of each season. We know how important this is to you, and it is one of our top priorities.”

Unknown investors have purchased the assets – and they have not disclosed their identity. Alltrue hasn’t yet responded to our inquiries regarding their “new and experienced ownership team” (or whether or not vendors left in the cold will be compensated). Who do you think purchased Alltrue? The complete announcement is reproduced below the Alltrue FAQs regarding past purchases.

Will you get your previous Alltrue purchases?

For all current members, Spring Box shipments have restarted, and boxes will continue to ship through mid-July. That is, if you haven’t successfully filed a chargeback and your membership hasn’t otherwise lapsed, you’ll be getting your spring box soon. If this isn’t something you want to happen, you may want to check out your Alltrue account.

If your membership is showing as active in your Account Page, you will be receiving your seasonal box(es) and orders and no further action is necessary on your end. Spring Boxes are expected to begin actively shipping next week and you can expect a notification that your Spring Box has shipped by mid-July! (If you need to change your address please contact [email protected] and use the subject line “Updated Shipping Address for Spring Box”

If your membership shows as “expired”, and you no longer see a membership plan under ‘My Memberships’ on your account page, unfortunately the new acquiring company will not be able to service your order(s). In order for the new ownership team to sustainably fund and operate the transition of the company, and avoid the possibility of a pure liquidation of product (in which no customers would have received shipments), the acquisition of Alltrue’s assets could only include “active” customers. If your account was not set to renew because you had canceled your membership and/or filed for a chargeback, unfortunately this means the new company will not be able to fulfill any previous orders. We recognize that this is difficult news, but after reviewing every possible option, this was the only way to allow the brand to survive.

Note: If you had open orders in your membership at the time of cancellation, you may be eligible for a refund through your financial institution’s chargeback process. You can view a helpful article with instructions for filing a chargeback in the email that we sent to you today to the email address on file.

Customers that filed a chargeback should check their email for codes if they are interested in resuming an Alltrue subscription.

Alltrue Announcement

Alltrue Community,

The last few months have been full of challenges and change at Alltrue, but there are some big and positive updates that we’re ready to share, and we’re excited to announce that we’ll be shipping Spring Boxes and orders over the next few weeks! 🎉

What happened?

In mid-April, Alltrue was in the very difficult position of having to restructure — the supply chain headwinds and economic conditions created an unsustainable operating environment and the survival of the Alltrue brand required a full reset, restructure, and sale of company assets through an out-of-court bankruptcy alternative called an Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors.

Until a resolution was reached about the future of the company, the original team was legally unable to speak about the situation publicly, including with the Alltrue community here and elsewhere. There was a possibility of a transition of ownership but there was also a possibility that Alltrue would have to permanently shut down.

The good news: a new and experienced ownership team was found to take the brand forward, and a new journey begins today. Alltrue will be able to continue on its mission by preserving the product experience and all the other things you love most about your Alltrue membership, while also making on-time shipping and transparent communication a top priority going forward. Our first order of business is to ship your Spring Boxes!

Stay tuned here and in your account page for more updates in the coming days and weeks. Members should have received an email with detailed information and individual membership status updates.

💬 A note about comments: We want to be able to respond to all comments and we expect you to have many questions. We’re currently rebuilding social media and support teams, and it will take some time to get back up and running, but we will be doing the best we can to monitor and reply, alongside of the work we’re doing to get the fulfillment operation running smoothly. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

For questions related to your account, the best way to reach us at the moment is via email at [email protected] We’ll get back to you as soon we can!

I have been a subscriber to Alltrue for 3 plus years. I had 2 subscriptions myself and gifted a friend another one. All were current and had one box left on 2 and 2 boxes left on one. I also paid for the subscription extension on my subscriptions in February. {Thankfully, I switched my gift for my friend to FFF). I also placed a Market Order with the $15 coupon they gave in March. On April 6, I did a “This or That” survey to help curate future boxes. Then the fiasco started. I filed with my bank for the 2 subscriptions that were extensions, the Market order and the auto renewal in November for another full year. I didn’t claim the owed boxes. (The site had all 3 subscription boxes listed as pending shipment) I was hoping they would ship. So because of my refund requests (and so far, the 2 extensions and the Market order have been refunded, the auto renewal is pending). Alltrue changed all 3 subscriptions to cancelled, no longer pending shipment. Then, last week I got a message that my Market order had shipped. It came today. I had ordered a soap pump bottle (which leaked everywhere) and a mystery collection. I received eye masks, a pair of blue light glasses and sunglasses, several creams and balms, 2 necklaces, an essential oil roll on and a scarf. All items from past boxes, but a nice surprise. Also got a $15 credit because 2 items (socks) I had paid for were out of stock. Makes up a little for my 4 boxes they cancelled.

A lot of the “information” given here is just not true. Alltrue is not honoring any subscriptions paid for before April 21, 2022. They are requiring for you to pay a second time for the same thing that you have already paid for if you want to receive anything. And they are still not paying their vendors.

  • Erin

The new management is lying already. They are not providing boxes for annual subscribers who paid in advance. I along with many other received notification our membership was “expired” and they would not fulfill our orders. I had 3 boxes left on my annual membership 😡. So angry and sad.

  • Emily

wow. i can’t imagine why anyone would subscribe after what happened.

    • Nat

Probably people who are new to sub boxes and don’t know the whole story would.

  • Karen

Whoever subscribes to this box again is an absolute fool.

  • Anna

Run as fast as you can away from this “new” business who steals from vendors and customers, comes back a couple months later under “new” ownership and then uses stolen merchandise not paid for acquired through purchase of Alltrue “assets” to put in boxes of which you have no choices and you may have to pay twice for! Uhhh NOOO!!!!

  • VicB

They are lying. I did not cancel my subscription or request a chargeback, but they cancelled my account and my spring box. They did this to lots of people, from what I’ve seen and heard. Shady thieves.

    • Annie S.

I was just sent an email saying my Spring 2022 box shipped.
I haven’t received a ‘We’re back’ email or any word on my shop order so I will be canceling after I receive the box.

      • Annie S.

So now the delivery date has changed to ‘pending’.

  • Pam

Out of respect for all that have been screwed, DO NOT SUBSCRIBE! There’s tens of thousands of subscribers who are out money because of this. Past subscribers who didn’t get a refund because of time from their credit card company have also been denied by new owners of AllTrue when they wrote in. They said nope, they’re not owed boxes.

Also there’s thousands of businesses that have still not received money. Some even closed because of this. This shady af company just sold it to on of the rich douche friends. Please steer clear of the bs company….all lies

    • Anna

      Agrees a million times over!!
