My Raddish Kids Review

To give you an idea about the box contents, we’re reviewing the Kitchen Kid Cafe themed box from Raddish Kids!

Here’s a look at the recipe cards in each box, which come with illustrated step-by-step instructions. The recipes included in this particular month are Chocolate Cream Pie, Grilled Chicken Club, and Tomato Basil Bisque.

There’s also an activity where kids can design a café logo. The card includes informative content about the importance of a logo. Plus, table talk cards for added entertainment and a collectible apron patch featuring a slice of chocolate cream pie! Recipe booklets list down all the ingredients and tools needed, as well as fun facts and trivia. There are even engaging activities, like soup scramble!

For the Kitchen Kid Café box, the kid-friendly kitchen tool is a pie server! Kids will learn how to transfer a slice of pie, cake, or tart neatly to a serving plate.

Although Raddish Kids boxes do not include grocery items, they do include a shopping list. You can also visit their website for dietary modifications if needed.

My kids were so excited about making the recipes in the box. The first one is the Chocolate Cream Pie! Bake time takes 50 minutes, while chill time is 30 minutes. My youngest daughter helped with evenly layering the dough in a baking dish, then poked it with a fork to release air bubbles before baking. Parent supervision is still advised, especially when handling hot surfaces, like the oven and stove. Meanwhile, my eldest is in charge of creating the decadent chocolate cream filling. This dessert is pretty easy to make, and my kids had fun from start to finish! Once done, they took turns using the pie server to transfer slices on their own plates. The finished product tasted great!

Another uncomplicated recipe in the box is Tomato Basil Bisque! This recipe is super easy to whip up that it only took the kids less than 30 minutes to make. It’s as simple as mixing all the ingredients in a pot and bringing it to a boil. Simmer for a few minutes, then add heavy cream for a creamy tomatoey finish! With this recipe, my kitchen apprentices enhanced their stovetop skills. It tasted hearty, comforting, and filling!

To pair with the soup is Grilled Chicken Club. Even though this last dish had numerous steps, the kids were ecstatic to finish it! My son took control of baking both the chicken and the bacon while his siblings prepared the bread for toasting and sliced the other ingredients. They had a lot of fun layering chicken, bacon, and veggies on the bread and stacking it high! We had to secure each with bamboo picks to prevent the sandwiches from falling.

With this themed box, it truly felt like my kids managed their own cafe! All recipes tasted great and kept their tummies full as well. Plus, everything was easy to make. There’s a creamy bisque paired with a yummy grilled chicken club and a chocolate cream pie for dessert. Of course, they’ve also gained another kitchen tool to collect.

Is Raddish Kids worth it?

The joy of cooking and learning at the same time is unbeatable! Raddish Kids involves children in the culinary process, allowing them to develop kitchen skills and healthy eating habits at the same time. There are even badges and tools to collect, as well as extra activities to do after cooking. The box’s educational value plus motivating extras make it worth a try!

This is a perfect subscription for kids who already have culinary interests, as well as for kids who simply want to do something fun. The kid-friendly cooking activities also make an ideal way for families to bond. Also, after trying all the recipes, you’d have a nice meal to share!

We got this one but haven’t made it yet. How did you like the soup? I usually don’t live their vegetable soups, they had a tomato soup a while back that was suspiciously close to a more liquid pizza sauce! Lol. But I love all their achuchen soups. How does this one compare?

Thanks for the review. I’m excited to make the pie on this one for sure!
