Each monthly cooking kit includes three recipes with a complete grocery list, tools needed, and illustrated easy-to-follow instructions. My kids were introduced to three fusion recipes this month: Chicken Tikka Tacos, Greek Frites, and Kung Pao Sliders.

The booklet for each recipe comes with fun and informative content, including the food’s history. Each monthly box will also include a kid-friendly cooking tool. For the World Fusion box, it’s a garlic mincer! Learning how to peel and cut garlic is an essential kitchen skill, as many savory recipes call for it.

Kung Pao Sliders. My kids teamed up to complete the recipes in the box! For Kung Pao Sliders, which are sloppy joes with a Chinese twist, my eldest is in charge of cutting up the ingredients, including garlic mincing. Meanwhile, my youngest helped with mixing the sauce. Of course, parental supervision is still needed, especially when around sharp kitchen tools and stoves. My kids cooked everything in the skillet, and after a while, they assembled the slider buns. They had a blast doing this American-Chinese fusion recipe and even added dumplings on the plate for garnishing!

Greek Frites. This French-Greek recipe calls for lots of cutting and peeling potatoes! My kids were able to practice the knife safety skills they learned from the previous boxes. They also made the sauce, then coated the potatoes with breading and placed them on a baking pan. When done baking, they carefully took the fries out of the oven, then waited for them to cool down. The fries were evenly coated and crunchy! My son also piled tomatoes, olives, parsley, and crumbled feta cheese on top of the fries for added Mediterranean flavors, then poured the sauce over for a finishing touch. We are definitely adopting this topping for more foods – it was a huge hit!

Chicken Tikka Tacos. The last recipe in this box is a fusion of Mexican and Indian cuisine! Like the other recipes, this one involves chopping and mincing the ingredients. My kids also learned how to shred cooked chicken into small pieces using two forks. When all the ingredients were prepared, they tossed everything in the pot and stirred the taco filling until cooked. Then, they assembled the tacos! This savory Mexican-Indian recipe really stimulated our appetites!

My kids love Raddish Kids because aside from learning new recipes and kitchen skills every month, they can also reward themselves with tasty food afterward. Plus, there’s a new kitchen tool to collect as well! This month’s world fusion recipes taught them new culinary ideas and left an impression that a mix of international recipes is delicious too, from Kung Pao Sliders to Greek Frites to Chicken Tikka Tacos. Even with simple steps, my kids gain confidence in the kitchen, which is a great deal! For parents looking for fun hands-on activities for their kids, this subscription won’t disappoint!
