An all-natural gift from Mother Nature, this month’s Hero item is Activist Mānuka Honey Mask 850+ ($65), which can be used as a face mask, a skin cleanser, or a spot treatment. It’s hydrating and promotes skin regeneration. Plus, it’s suitable for all skin types but especially beneficial for sensitive and acne-prone skin. The manuka honey used in making this mask is double-filtered to deliver the full benefits of manuka honey onto the skin. Moreover, it has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that balance out the skin, calming irritations and relieving dry areas. The consistency is sticky but soothing, and it’s easy to apply and spread. For a healthy glow, allow it to sit on your skin for 20-30 minutes before rinsing with warm water and patting dry. The mask is packed in an aluminum tube.
The Sidekick item is Activist Green Botanical Serum ($75)! Aside from manuka honey, this serum contains kawakawa oils and blue tansy that soothe irritated skin and reduce its redness. The ingredient list also includes avocado extract and kiwifruit seed that infuses the skin with omega 3s, along with sweet almond oil that can improve skin complexion. It is fast-absorbing and helps diminish the appearance of fine lines.
It has a sweet herbaceous scent (probably because of blue tansy) but it’s not overwhelming. Rich in antioxidants, this month’s Sidekick quenches the skin and gives it a radiant glow all day long! Place a few drops in your palms, then lightly spread on cleansed skin, morning and night. They recommended using it with an Activist Manuka Honey Face Mask to maximize its benefits.
The last item in the box is an edible one! Activist Mānuka Honey 100+ MGO ($30) helps support overall well-being by promoting digestive health, alleviating the effects of allergies, and boosting the immune system. This 100% manuka honey has antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties that are good for the body. The 100+ MGO states that it brings a mild level of therapeutic benefit. It’s thick and naturally sweet. The honey tastes good on its own but it can also be added to teas, baked goods, smoothies, or even meals. I thought this was a really fun addition to the box!
