I received three amazing fragrances in my January shipment from LUXSB – Luxury Scent Box! The weather varies here in Central Texas, but is mostly temperate at this time of year so I was excited to receive a heavier winter scent, a lighter every day scent, and one more that was somewhere in the middle, perfect for those in between days! LUXSB offers tons of niche brands from all over the world, let’s see what I received this time around!

NOTE: This is a review of the Monthly Subscription ($15.95), plus two add-ons, two $5 Premium upcharges, and one $10 Ultra Premium upcharge.

Made in P!GALLE Marie in Le Marais Eau De Parfum (€95,00 for 75 ml, around $108 USD, $5 premium upcharge) My first perfume is from France, and if anyone knows how to make luxurious fragrances, it’s the French.

This is a green fruity perfume with notes of cassis, white musk, and rose and smells sweet and fresh, with those floral and fruity notes combining in a lovely way that balances them out so one doesn’t distract from the other. The musk keeps this from smelling super young, but it’s not what I would call mature either. I thought the longevity was pretty long lasting, although the projection was medium low, I don’t think it will jump out at strangers but those in your circle will smell it within the first few hours of wearing.

Gisada Ambassador Women Eau de Parfum ($90 for 50ml, $5 premium upcharge) Our next perfume hails from Switzerland! This is an amber floral and it is feminine but not girly, womanly but not mature.

This fragrance has fruity, oriental, radiant and playfully floral notes. These aspects are combined with raspberry and tuberose, lending the perfume an addictive floral bouquet. A refined background of sandalwood rounds off the fragrance’s signature.

Scent notes include fruits like pear and apricot, tuberose, tagetes (aka marigold), sandalwood, and musk. It smells completely different to my nose when I’m sitting there admiring it than when I sniff my arm up close, that’s when those deeper, greener, less sweet notes really show up. Like all women, it’s complex!

Initio Parfums Prives Atomic Rose Eau de Parfum ($320 for 90 ml, $10 Ultra Premium upcharge) Ok, I sprayed this on before I even looked at the description and I thought it smelled extremely sexy in a raunchy kind of way, it’s dirty and yet sweet with almost overripe fruit and then there’s deep, luscious rose. Closer to my skin I smell something like spicy wood shavings. Anyways, I was sure the description was going to say something like “smells like spring” or but no, they brought it, just have a little read below:

A rose diffracted into a scent of phenomenal power.

An olfactory explosion with an intense emotional charge.

An exhilaration of pure energy, climaxing into intoxication.

An extraordinary fragrance in the true sense of the word.

From the first moment, rose rushes to the head and brings colour to the cheeks.

As explosive as it is elusive, it expresses itself forcefully and fully embraces its ambiguities.

Bright, with its shadows.

Feminine and masculine.

Soft, but ruthless.

It smells a bit like Delina and maybe a couple of Montale scents I have tucked away to wear on the coldest winter days, or for date night. You probably wouldn’t want to wear this to work or casual events, because the longevity and projection are out of this world. Any clothing, blanket, or coat that touches this scent will forever hold its presence, including clothes that have gone through a cycle in the laundry (hmm, why does my shirt smell so luscious? Oh yeah, I wore Atomic Rose!). I could smell it on my arm the next morning. I can see why this is listed under the brand’s Carnal Scents lineup, it’s super sexy. Scent notes include rose, pink pepper, and amber. You could pay $70 for a 10ml “sample” from the brand itself, or get LUXSB and pay the $10 upcharge and it’s practically a steal.

Well, what an amazing assortment of scents from LUXSB! They always choose for me and I am always pleased with the results, and I never would have discovered Atomic Rose on my own, but it is super powerful, both in scent and in the feeling I get when I wear it! I liked that the other two scents complement it well, so I can wear Atomic Rose on the colder days, and the other two when the weather is milder. I think LUXSB has an extensive collection of niche fragrances but there are department store/designer fragrances available too (like Prada and Coach). Subscribers also receive a discount on full-sized bottles! Below you will find some of the inserts I received along with some box opening shots.

I love this company, LuxSB Luxury Scent Box! They are the best perfume subscription. I just recently tried Musk Therapy by Initio and it was love at first spray! I will be trying Atomic Rose soon!
