Kinder Beauty Box sends out two variations every month and I received the FRESH START box for January (the other box was called CLEAN SLATE). It has items to help keep skin moisturized during this time of year and a blush to add a hint of color to cheeks.

Kinder Beauty’s subscription box made the list in our 2021 readers’ choice picks of best skincare subscription boxes!

Rosatyque Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Mask ($6) Many skin types, not just those with dry skin, may suffer from the drying effects of the cold, wind, and indoor heating. This mask has hyaluronic acid, which helps draw water to the skin, plus oat, astragalus, and licorice extracts to help soothe skin and relieve irritation. Apply to a clean face and sit back for about 20-30 minutes and afterwards you can pat in any remaining essence.

Jubel Naturals Daily Dew ($34) Daily Dew is a moisturizing oil elixir that is intended for dry skin but can be used on any skin type. Just a drop or so is needed to provide a slippery feeling over the face and it smells herby and floral thanks to ylang ylang, bergamot, lavender, and geranium essential oils (make sure to wear sunscreen!). Some of the other ingredients are rosehip oil, grapeseed oil, and apricot oil and this product is supposed to hydrate skin and prevent wrinkles.

Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner ($2.99) I spritzed on this toner before applying the oil shown above but you could also spray it on a cotton pad to apply to skin and wipe off any remaining makeup at day’s end. Some of the ingredients are rose water, glycerin, and chamomile extract and while I didn’t love the scent it faded quickly. I noticed that when I sprayed it on my face it caused a weird feeling in my nose and lungs, perhaps because of the preservative?

Franklin & Whitman Vitamin C Eye Serum ($39.95) This under eye oil comes with a metallic rollerball that feels soothing and cooling to help depuff that area. Some of the ingredients are olive oil, grapeseed oil, coconut oil, and more. Palmarosa, chamomile, and lemon essential oils are some of the other things you will find in here while vitamin C and E may fight free radicals, although the lemon oil may have the opposite effect and cause the area to become photosensitive so for that reason I won’t be wearing this during the day, but will use it before bed. It has a woody rose scent and the rollerball only lets out a little oil at a time, then I gently pat it in under my eyes.

Peek Beauty Metalimatte Quick Drying Blush in the shade KU ($18.50) I linked to a similar product but I must say I was very disappointed in this brand’s website, there’s really no usable information to be found, like the list of ingredients (which wasn’t found on the container either). The product is a cream blush with the barest hint of metallic sheen that really doesn’t show up, but the color is nice and works for me. It blended easily.

The January Kinder Beauty Box left me with lots of moisturizing products to use over the next month or two, which are the coldest months of the year for the area in which I live. I really liked using the face oil, the eye oil is much needed, and the blush was easy to apply and had the perfect amount of color payoff for my winter pale complexion.
