Cloth & Paper sent some sleek stationery supplies in muted colors for January. If you are new to this box then know that they have a few different subscription options, and you can choose planner sizes based on the planner you use at home or work. This is a review of their Penspiration AND Planning + Stationery combo, which is $54.99 a month and drops to as low as $49.99 a month when you choose the 6-month term. This is the January box, they send calendar cards etc. two months in advance, so you’re never behind or have to worry about getting those supplies late.

The following items are in the Planning + Stationery Box

I received a card that had all of the items listed as well as a picture of each item for clarity.

Swatch Dashboard and Balanced Dashboard A dashboard can usually be found at the front of your planner but I’ve found that they also work well as dividers between my monthly inserts. Place a flag on the side and you can easily find the section you are looking for. These are printed on sturdy textured stock.

New Beginnings Dashboard This is a smaller dashboard and it has a design on both sides (and yes, it’s supposed to have those pen marks on the back!). This one is printed on smooth stock.

Weekly Admin Insert Please note that if you indicated that you don’t have a planner, this will come in a pad format. There are 32 pages that look like the one above. This insert is to be used to track weekly habits and tasks.

Monthly Admin Insert Once again, if you indicated that you don’t have a planner, this item will come in pad form. This set has 26 pages. One one side has a grid while the other has an undated monthly calendar and space for jotting down tasks.

Planning Tools Quote Card, Create QC, Agenda QC, and March Calendar Card I think these items will need to go into some sort of vinyl holder or planner pocket/pocket folder in order to be of any use, or perhaps you can use a decorative paperclip of some sort to keep them in palce. They are mostly decorative but the Agenda QC has space on the back for you to fill in contact info in case your agenda gets lost.

Matchstick Page Flags These are pretty self-explanatory – use them to mark pages that you wish to revisit, whether it’s in your planner, a book, or a magazine. You can write on them too.

Half Sticky Notes You can use these sticky notes to keep place in books too, but of course you can also write lists on them or other short notes, I received a white pen in last month’s box that would work especially well with the darker shades.

Arched Folder This sturdy embossed folder can be used to store planning products and has an inner flap and card slots. It measures 7.5″ x 10″.

The following items are in the Penspiration Box:

The items came in their own separate holder, although there were a couple of paper items that were on top when I opened the shipping box.

January Prompt Card has a journaling idea on the back and you can write your goals directly on the card. Undated Calendar Card can be filled in with important dates. Penspiration Board has a place to swatch all of your new pens (see it use below).

Arched Sticky Notes New this month to the Penspiration box is an extra item, and this time around it’s an exclusive sticky note pad. These are rather large and the color is Cortado.

Cloth & Paper sends a variety of pen styles, some for highlighting, others for writing. I reach for their pens every day, they write so smoothly. You can find a list of all of this month’s pens at the Cloth & Paper website under their Subscription Unboxing section.

As always, I was very impressed with the items from Cloth & Paper! Each month when I receive my box it’s like a little boost to remind me to set my goals and dates in my planner and helps increase my productivity. The color palette is always going to be minimalistic and subdued, that’s part of the Cloth & Paper style.

Cloth & Paper offers a monthly subscription box of their planner supplies, inserts, and writing instruments. The items look sleek and Cloth & Paper believes “there is luxury in simplicity”. The Planning + Stationery box is $39.99 a month but drops to as low as $36.99 a month when you sign up for a 6-month term. The Penspiration box is $21.99 a month but drops to $19.99 a month for the 3-month plan.
