Pepper & Boo A Cat Surprise! by Charise Mericle Harper ($5.97) This book is about two dogs named Pepper and Boo and their cat housemate. Pepper and Boo were having a hard time understanding the cat and its behavior. Fortunately, their cat housemate is willing to explain everything about being a cat!
This picture book is a fun read and young pet lovers will find this especially enjoyable. The story tells us that perhaps, cats and dogs would be best of friends if they can only understand each other.
Octicorn Party! by Kevin Diller and Justin Lowe ($12.99) The next book talks about Octicorn and his upcoming pool party. The octopus is excited but anxious, thinking about what will happen if no one comes. He tries to cater to what everyone wants, but later, he realized that it could end up being a disaster.
This book has simple illustrations and uses limited colors which can be great for kids. More importantly, it tells kids about the importance of embracing one’s self and being confident about it.
Little Whale in Deep Trouble by Hans Wilhelm ($6.30) The last book from the box is about a calf and a mama whale. Little whale always wants to be at his mama’s side. He feels safe and protected whenever he sees two of their shadows on the ocean floor.
This book kept my kids feeling eager to know how will the story end. It’s also an informative book as it has a lot of interesting facts about humpback whales!
Owl Post Books is a great way for kids to develop their love for reading and to enhance their imagination with fun and creative stories. The monthly selection of curated books can also help expand a kids’ book collection. This month’s books are all about animals, and my kids’ favorite is the one about the cat and the dogs! They loved the funny conversations, and they flipped through it over and over again.
