Whether you know a sewing beginner or someone who’s already an expert in sewing projects, a Thread Crate subscription sounds like a perfect gift. This sewing subscription sends a monthly crate with a sewing pattern, along with all the fabric, notions, and tools needed to complete a project and more. Imagine the smile on their face when they open the crate and discover what pattern and fabric they get to work with each month! Wondering what types of projects ThreadCrate sends? They have everything from leggings to cardigans and sweaters to dresses and even t-shirts!
Sewing is undoubtedly a fun hobby and also a great way of unleashing one’s creativity or spending free time. However, getting the right sewing supplies and finding patterns to use could be a challenge. There are specific threads and fabrics required by different projects, and not all patterns are easy to follow. You can solve this dilemma by gifting Thread Crate to the sewing enthusiast in your life – it’s available in 1-month and 3-month plans, and they have curated boxes for women, men, and kids!
Each crate is jam-packed with sewing materials. Currently, they have two crate options available. The regular ThreadCrate ($69.50) includes 3 yards of fabric (knits or wovens), coordinating thread and notions, sewing machine needle, sewing clips/pins, size-inclusive printed and digital pattern, 2-3 sewing goodies or extras, and occasional scrap busters. Another option is the Mini ThreadCrate ($44.50) which has 3 yards of fabric (knits or wovens), printed and digital sewing pattern (sizes: XS – 5 XL), and coordinating thread and notions. Ideally, the recipient will need to own a sewing machine and know the basics of sewing for them to enjoy the subscription fully. The Thread Crate for kids is only available in mini size.
Looking to gift fabrics only? No worries because ThreadCrate also has a newly launched Fabric Club ($29)! If you choose this option, they will send 3 yards of mystery fabric to your recipient each month! They will get a mix of woven and knit fabrics, as well as some coordinating prints and solids which they can use for their projects.
Your gift recipient can also join Thread Crate’s exclusive Facebook Group where they can talk with like-minded people, share projects, and just discuss the contents of the crate.
