The Advent Candle!
Lighting the advent candle every morning in December is a Danish tradition. It is so much hygge to start each morning off by lighting the candle and burn the elegant calendar candle a little longer to the day’s mark to show the passing of the days leading up to Christmas. Scandinavians celebrate Christmas on the 24th, so you only find numbers up to 24.
The green color of the candle from Broste Copenhagen will look great in a natural Christmas decoration.

My box arrived, and I am overall pleased now that I see everything in person.
For some reason, the pictures made me think the book was going to be small, but it is a full size cookbook with beautiful photographs. Recipes might be a challenge since you have to convert from metric and there are some ingredients I don’t recognize (what is caster sugar?). Bowl is nice, candle is large and the bag of marshmallows is bigger than expected too. My two paper ornaments are circle shaped.
I do wish they had included something like the wreath they show to hold the candle though. It’s too big for a candlestick. I guess put it on a saucer and hope for the best?
I would agree with the other comments that this box does feel light. I would expect for the price point to contain more, maybe 3 different size bowls of the same color or a big serving type bowl. For me, I don’t put out Xmas decorations so it’s a bit disappointing.

This box was a huge miss for me. I don’t see the value for the small items we received. For me, this was not worth $70.
Agreed. I canceled my sub. A winter/holiday box should not be so disappointing.
I’m cancelling too. I really wanted to love Norlii but I don’t see the value in most of the boxes I received this year.
I’m not happy. New subbers get a free beautiful horn ornament while we got two paper ornaments made in India. The subscribers who have already committed to this box should be the ones getting the unique quality items.
I saw the ornament, and I agree. If I had received it, I don’t think I would have canceled.
But unfortunately, that’s the standard subscription model, to offer something special to entice new subs, while longtime subscribers get . . . nothing extra. 🤷♀️
New subscribers have a choice in 2 categories. They can choose between 2 different candles and then they can choose between the recipe book or the black tray that’s pictured.
I am totally on team Norlii but yikes you are so right! Current subscribers should definitely have gotten that ornament. An additional item or two should have been added to this box (like maybe a candle holder for the candle?!)
