Everything in my box!

This month’s bonus item is a DIY foam bracelet! It came with all the materials needed, along with an instruction guide so it’s easy to make.

It features a cute version of Frankenstein in the middle along with bats and stars. The enclosure is velcro so it’s easy to put on and remove!

Where’s Rollo? by Reed Duncan ($9.99)

For fans of Tiny, Biscuit, and Charlie the Ranch Dog comes an easy-to-read series about a rambunctious, mischievous, and totally lovable bulldog, Rollo! In this story designed to engage early readers, charming characters combine with simple text, lively illustrations, and laugh-out-loud humor to help boost kids’ confidence and create lifelong readers!

Where is Rollo? Where did he go? Is he hiding?

Rollo is back for another adventure. Children will love following along as Rollo’s owner looks for him all over the house and yard. Is Rollo up to his old tricks again, or could he be… just where his owner left him?

Exciting, easy-to-read books are the stepping stone a young reader needs to bridge the gap between being a beginner and being fluent.

First up is this fun book that features a dog named Rollo. He loves playing tricks and hiding whenever he could. This book takes readers to a journey with his owner as he searches around for Rollo.

My kids loved the colorful illustrations in this book! Since we have dogs at home, they can also relate to the story.

The text on each page is short and easy to understand.

My kids really enjoyed looking for Rollo and they had a good laugh as well!

Ghoulia by Barbara Cantini ($9.99)

Ghoulia lives in Crumbling Manor with her Auntie Departed and spends most of her time playing with Tragedy, her beloved albino greyhound. But things aren’t as easy as they seem for this little zombie girl—all she wants is a real friend. She tries to venture past the manor’s walls, but she can’t hide her pale green skin or the deep purple circles under her eyes. The other children will be afraid of her, and no one will want to be her friend. But when Halloween rolls around, Ghoulia hatches a brilliant plan. All the other, ordinary children will be dressed up like monsters, so Ghoulia can go out into the town and be entirely herself. In the end, all the kids realize that Ghoulia is (almost) just like them and learn that friendship can come in many forms.

The next book follows a little girl named Ghoulia who longs to be able to play outside but is forbidden because she is different.

My kids really loved the character names in this book. They kept talking about how unique and interesting they were!

The illustrations were also great and I love how the story showcases how kids can easily accept things without any malice. This is a very inspiring book!

There’s also a bonus part in the book where you can play spot the difference on some photos of Ghoulia and Tragedy!

Little Red Riding Hood by Fiona Boon ($11.43)

“Over the gate and into the wood skipped innocent Little Red Riding Hood…”

Follow Little Red and the nasty wolf in this beautiful retelling of the classic tale. Charming illustrations and fun rhymes bring a new twist to the well-known story, making it perfect for adults and children to read together.

This version of Little Red Riding Hood has curly hair that she learns to love!

The illustrations are so pretty and my kids were in awe of all the different patterns.

The story started off just like the classics but I love how it progressed to something more.

This book teaches about self-love and acceptance in a way that kids can understand.

This month’s Owl Post books are Halloween-themed! They are fun to read and some of them even teach important lessons to young readers. My kids were happy with everything we received and their favorite is the book about finding a dog named Rollo. The craft kit was also nice addition to the box. The foam bracelet was easy to make and my daughter loved wearing it after. If you’re looking for age-appropriate books, this is a great subscription to try! You can even slowly build a mini library at home as Owl Post sends 3 books each month. They have different genres for all ages as well!
