Everything in the box!

France is the featured country for the month!

Bonjour! My trip to the famous Louvre museum started off great. I got to see an exhibit on one of my favorite types of art: comics! Then, my trip got even BETTER! Before I knew what was happening, I was thrown into an adventure with some very unlikely pals. From the galleries of the Louvre, to the banks of the river Seine, and all the way to the top of the Eiffel Tower… welcome to Paris, France!

This part of the booklet has a message from Womple!

It also showcases some beautiful locations in the country, including Notre Dame Cathedral and Musee d’Orsay.

This part of the booklet features croissant, one of the country’s most popular pastries.

My son loves reading the booklet from WompleBox!

Keychain. Every WompleBox includes a collectible keychain for kids. This month’s keychain features a pigeon!

The pigeon is even wearing a red beret. How cute!

Stickers. This sticker sheet includes images of popular French food, including macaron, croissant, brie, baguette, crepe, and escargot! These are meant for matching to the map provided in the box.

This card lists more information about France, including the continent where it belongs, its population, the national language, the capital city, and currency.

Here’s a map of France. It also has a list of the popular landmarks in the country!

Eiffel Tower, one of the tallest man-made structure is also highlighted on this part of the booklet.

Next up is a recipe for crepe, a very thin type of pancake that can contain either sweet or savory fillings!

Here are this month’s projects: Pointillism Painting and French Comic Book!

Pointillism Painting. The first project is Pointillism Painting, a type of painting wherein small, distinct dots of color are applied in patterns to form an image.

This card features Georges Seurat who used the Pointillism technique to create his A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande masterpiece.

This sheet lists all the materials for the Pointillism Painting project. It includes canvass, frame, paint swabs, sticky squares, Eiffel Tower cutout, paint, and kraft paper.

There are also easy to follow instructions, accompanied by illustrations.

My son started by putting colored dots on the plain canvass.

Next, he did the same process on the Eiffel Tower cutout! Aside from helping the kids get creative, this is also a fun way of introducing kids to French art.

The finished artwork looks great and unique! He also placed the artwork in the yellow frame included in the kit.

French Comic Book. For the next activity, my kids made a French inspired comic book!

Here are the materials for the second activity! There’s a blank comic book and a set of colored pens.

The kit also includes stencils that kids can use to design their own comic book. One stencil has French related icons, the other has speech balloons and sound effects, and the last one has letters, numbers, and symbols.

This card features Pierre Culliford, the creator of Les Schtroumpfs, more popularly known as The Smurfs.

A paper lists all the materials included in the kit, making it easy to check if the materials you received are complete.

The first step is to create a comic book character and plan out the story. This helps enhance kids’ creativity and imagination!

When you’ve decided about the focus of the story, it’s time to pick up the pens and the stencils to get started. The stencils are easy to use, but you can also do a freehand drawing if you wish.

My son also applied the Pointillism technique that he learned from the first activity!

It was another fun box from WompleMail and this time, they brought my kids to France! It included fun projects like pointillism painting and comic making that my kids enjoyed so much! They learned a lot from the activities and were able to practice their art skills. The reading materials were educational as well, they discussed a lot of things about the country’s culture, history, food, and people. This is definitely an ideal activity subscription for the kids that provides a fun learning experience!
