BOXYCHARM Premium is a beauty box from BOXYCHARM, separate from the regular/base BOXYCHARM and BOXYLUXE upgrade. For $35 per month, you’ll receive 6-7 items with 1 item chosen by the subscriber. They also promise $175+ value in every box and no product overlaps. When you sign up for Premium, you must get the base/classic box for the month you signed up for and stay subscribed to that until you’re off the waitlist for Premium. After you score Premium, you can let go of the base box if you choose. Boxycharm’s premium subscription box was voted by our readers as one of the best beauty subscription boxes for 2021 – and a best skincare box, and a best makeup subscription!

My items were cushioned simply with paper.

The August box theme was Go All Out!

Listed at the back are the products inside the box along with MSRP’s. Looking for more products? Check out the BOXY website for more offers.

I received six items in my box and all came in boxes or other packaging.

Everything in my August 2021 BOXYCHARM Premium! There may be variations in the box – see the full spoilers here.

Laruce Beauty Face Disks ($24) are washable applicators that are made of “bamboo cotton”, which is actually a type of rayon. There is some type of padding in the middle and I usually wash my padless poufs in the washing machine, so I will have to see if these hold up under the same conditions.

There are three colors in the bag and it is suggested to use one color to remove makeup, another to apply toners and serums, and the third to wash the face.

They are very soft.

Here’s a closer look at the texture. The grey pad looks like it has shorter fibers than the other two.

Osea Malibu Sea Minerals Mist ($38) August seems like a popular month for mists — I received two in this box and one in my regular BOXYCHARM.

This version is on the natural side and is made with ingredients like chlorophyll, sea salt, aloe, and plant extracts. It’s supposed to reduce redness while soothing, balancing, and energizing the skin. The bottle says it can be used as a toner or to set and refresh makeup. The mist is on the heavy side so I prefer to use as a toner by spraying it on a cotton pad and following up after cleansing. I didn’t notice any scent.

Earth Harbor Sunshine Dew Antioxidant Cleansing Oil ($24) I like using an oily cleanser as the first step in my nightly cleansing routine to remove face makeup and SPF. I always follow with a second cleanser.

This one is made with grapeseed, jojoba, and other oils. Papaya enzymes are supposed to break down dead skin cells while citrus oils give it an amazing sunny scent.

I applied to my dry face and started gently rubbing it in. I then got my fingers wet and that helped the product turn from oily to, well, not so oily and then it was easy to wipe it all off. I followed with a second cleanse to remove all traces of oil and makeup and then followed with the mist shown above.

Grown Alchemist Age-Repair Gel Masque ($79) is a creamy gel mask that is supposed to hydrate and nourish the skin while fighting the signs of aging. Rub it onto the face after cleansing, let set for 10-15 minutes, then rinse off.

The ingredients include glycerin, pearl powder, pomegranate extract, sodium hyaluronate, more plant extracts, and a peptide complex. It is scented with peppermint extract with an underlying hint of something else and the product dried completely within 5 minutes of my applying to my face. I don’t know if I’m sold on its moisturizing capabilities though, maybe I have to use it consistently.

Fenty Beauty What-It-Dew Makeup Refreshing Spray ($30) Here is that second face mist and this one can be used as a primer or prep step but also as a makeup revitalizer, which sounds very similar to the mist shown earlier.

Some of the ingredients include dimethicone, witch hazel, fragrance, and floral waters. The sixth ingredient is alcohol. It can be sprayed directly onto the face (the instructions remind us to not inhale) or spritz it onto a makeup sponge. The mist is pretty fine and the fragrance is lightly floral and herbal but not strong. I prefer the OSEA mist but I think these work in different ways and I like this one too.

Vesca Beauty Kissed By Soft-Matte Bronzing Powder ($30) A bronzing powder is a good way to keep that summer glow going well into fall and maybe even beyond, depending on your makeup skills.

Here are the ingredients and directions. It is scented and I’m not sure how to describe it — suntan lotion maybe?

I remember filling out a survey that asked which color I wanted to receive, and for some reason I received Bali, which is described as “deep with neutral undertones”. I am very pale and they must have ran out of the shade I chose but I can’t use this on my pale skin.

Here it is swatched!

My August BOXYCHARM Premium was mainly full of face care products. There were soft reusable pads, which I will use for makeup removal; a mask and natural mist to start the day; another mist to set and prep my makeup; and an oil to clean it all off before bed. The only product that wasn’t a hit for me was the bronzer, but that’s because the color is not right for my light skin tone. I especially love the cleanser and natural mist, but the Fenty worked well too. The value for my assortment was around $225!

I got everything you did except the bronzer. Did you notice the Fenty mist doesn’t spray very far or is it just my bottle? I usually spray sprays about a foot away from my face but this one I have to spray right up close to my face to even feel any product.

I held my arm as far away as I could and sprayed and could feel it on my skin, but the mist was very fine, probably the finest mist I’ve ever encountered Gabbi.

I received the Osea mist and the cleaning pads, but everything else was different. It was a great box. Premium always has a lot of skincare, which is why that’s the box I get. I mostly let them choose for me as my monthly selection.
