The box arrived in good condition.

The kit shows up bundled neatly together under some cute red polka dots tissue. It was also secured using a Gramma in a Box sticker.

Most of the items came in separate plastic containers.

We also received a message from Gramma Terry! This month, the theme is Patriotic Cookies and Candies!

Here’s a list of all the items included in the box. They also provided a list of items you’ll need from home.

This month’s projects are Sparkler Pretzel Rods and Patriotic Cookie Decorating.

The other side features the list of all the ingredients for each recipe. My kids are excited to make the treats!

Everything in the July 2021 box!

They included this mini flag banner that we used during the opening ceremonies for the Olympics!

Sparkler Pretzel Rods. For the first project, the box provided melting chocolates, colored sugar, different kinds of sprinkles, and a pack of pretzel sticks.

The first step is to melt the chocolates in the microwave, which requires an adult’s help.

Once the melted chocolate was ready, my kids took a pretzel each and dipped them into the chocolate. Then, on a piece of wax paper, they put some sprinkles and rolled each chocolate-coated pretzel while it’s still wet so the sprinkles can adhere to the sides.

Next, my kids waited for the pretzels to cool and then it’s ready for snacking!

Here are the finished products! They remind us of sparklers!

Patriotic Cookie Decorating. My kids love this part! It’s the cookie decorating project and they always look forward to it each month. This time, they designed patriotic cookies for the 4th of July.

The frosting came in the colors of the American Flag: red, blue, and white.

They also tried mixing and matching the sprinkles and the frostings!

My kids had a blast creating these! Here’s the final look before they start to devour each piece!

Gramma In A Box always sends fun projects for kids! This month’s edible crafts are 4th of July themed but also double as Olympics themed, which includes sparkler pretzels and patriotic cookies. Everything needed for the crafts is already in the box, making it hassle-free for parents as well. The provided instructions are easy to follow and, except for melting the chocolates, everything can be done with zero to minimal supervision. All in all, this is such a good way to spend free time at home and it also helps kids stay creative and productive. After making the crafts, you’ll have yummy snacks to share! Yum!
