This month’s box looks cute! It features pretty florals in vibrant colors! The items inside were wrapped in an apple green tissue paper.

The box comes with an information card.

At the back, it lists details on each item as well as the price if you were to buy the full size.

Everything in my May 2021 box!

Rael Beauty Purify + Soothe Facial Sheet Masks ($3.20) Infused with tea tree oil, this face mask helps in keeping the skin soft and smooth and also provides anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial benefits. You just have to put it on for 10-20 minutes, pat the excess essence, and you’re good to go. Another thing I like about it is that it’s free from parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, silicone, and other harmful ingredients.

Milk Makeup Kush High Volumizing Mascara ($7.50) This mascara contains heart-shaped fibers that adheres to natural lashes and adds volume.

It’s formulated with hemp-derived cannabis seed oil that help in making sure the fibers stick well to the natural lash hairs. This mascara is well pigmented and I love how a single layer instantly makes my eyes look brighter. It doesn’t clump up either!

Balance Me BHA Exfoliating Concentrate ($6.25) This exfoliating product helps get rid of dry and dull skin for a fresher and younger look. It contains squalene and willow bark that help keep the skin healthy and nourished even during exfoliation. To use, just put several pumps to a cotton pad and apply to clean skin. It’s also great for oily and blemish-prone skin!

Lanolips 101 Ointment Multi-Balm in Watermelon ($13.50) Whether for dry lips, skin patches, or dry cuticles, this product does a great job of providing nourishment and hydration. It’s formulated with vitamin E, lanolin, and watermelon, and it also came in a compact tube that I can always bring with me anywhere. This is a great alternative to petroleum-based balms! TBH this is really small! I was happy to get it in my box but I’d never spend retail on this.

Korres Nourishing Probiotic Gel Cream ($18.13) This gel cream is formulated with nutrient-rich Greek yoghurt, pore-reducing sea water, and anti-aging passion flower oil. It’s gentle enough to be used both day and night. I also like its whipped texture that easily gets absorbed by the skin. What makes this hydrating cream unique is that it promises time-released hydration for 48 hours. It doesn’t clog the pores either!

This month’s Birchbox is dominated with skin-friendly products, including a gel cream, a sheet mask, and an exfoliator. There’s only one makeup product in the box, which is the mascara! I like it because it easily adds volume to my lashes and it doesn’t clump up either. If I have to pick a favorite, it would be the gel cream! My dry skin loves it because it sinks in easily without leaving a greasy residue. The overall retail value of the box is $48.58. It’s a good deal considering I only had to pay a fraction of that price. If you want to try new products, this subscription is a good option as it sends mini and deluxe-sized items that you can try before you commit to the full-sized version!
