This is the review of the Lil’ Grace Monthly Box!

Everything was well-packed in a small white box.

The materials arrived in great condition.

Here’s the project sheet with complete instructions. It comes with photographs so you can hardly go wrong!

Everything in my box!

This month, the project is about making DIY wooden frames. The box includes 6 wooden pieces and a sand paper.

Of course, they also included materials for painting the frames.

These metal label holders are for decorating the frames. They also came with screws.

The first step is to smoothen each wooden piece using the provided sand paper.

Once they’re nice and smooth, it’s time to paint each piece.

Make sure all the sides are completely covered in paint. You can also do a double coating if you feel like the wood is still peeking through.

After painting, let each piece dry completely.

Once that’s done, the next step is to assemble the frame. For this, simply set the decorative nail heads right where you want them and use a hammer to gently tap them into place.

Then, screw the metal label holders on one of the wooden slats, making sure that the side with the opening is at the top.

Next, glue the wooden slat into the base with one at the top and one at the bottom. You can wrap some tape on the glued pieces to make sure they stay in place together until they have dried.

Now, you can add the peg at the back of the wood base so it has a stand. Just place a dollop of glue before putting it in for extra security that it won’t just fall off.

Here’s how the finished products look like! One is in brown and the other is in white.

The cute pegs at the back act as a stand!

You can place the metal label holders at the top slat or the bottom, the choice is yours!

I’m pretty satisfied with how everything turned out. These frames can be used for displaying photos, drawings, art prints, and more!

This month’s project was quick and easy to make. All the materials are enough for making two picture frames, one for gifting and one for keeping. As always, the box includes a gift bag and a gift tag so I can easily send it as soon as I’m finished. In this month’s project, I liked having the freedom to choose paint colors for the wooden pieces and to decorate them however I like. The metal label holder is also a great idea, since I can replace the labels from time to time. Overall, the craft projects from Lil’ Grace are ideal for crafting beginners. They are also great even for those who are simply looking for something productive to do during their free time!
