Soothing Remedies Soap Subscription Box is a monthly shipment of soaps! We can all use some soaps around the house and this soap subscription box will send three items every month or five every other month, and you can pick from foaming hand soap, liquid body, or bars! You can pick the scents and make them all the same or varied, or opt for Surprise Me. The soaps are natural and artisan and will be delivered right to your mailbox, no need to search the stores! For each product sold they will donate one bar of soap to St. Ann Place, a homeless shelter in West Palm Beach. The 3-item boxes are $21, and the 5-item boxes are $30.

Why Soothing Remedies handcrafted soaps are better?

When many people think of soap, the mass produced, commercially manufactured stuff on the shelves of grocery and big box stores is what comes to mind. This “soap” is typically packed full of harsh detergents and toxic, skin stripping ingredients.  On the other hand, handcrafted soap is made using a blend of  oils, water and lye. When combined, a chemical reaction (saponification) occurs  forming glycerin and soap with no lye remaining in the soap.

Soothing Remedies’ handcrafted soap bars are made using pure olive oil and Vitamin E, and our liquid soaps are made with a blend of olive, coconut and castor oils and Vitamin E. Some bars include cosmetic-grade pigments, botanicals, herbs and other natural ingredients, and are scented with therapeutic grade essential oils or premium phthlalate FREE fragrance oils.  Careful attention is paid to each batch to ensure the finished soaps are nourishing and moisturizing and won’t irritate or dry your skin.

My items were shipped in a USPS mailing box but I found branded tissue paper inside. The paper was sealed with a sticker.

Compostable packing peanuts kept everything cushioned.

This is my first box from Soothing Remedies!

A card reminded me to check my account to update my scents each month.

I even received two samples to try out some different scents and products!

Cool Spring Liquid Hand & Body Soap ($8) I decided to choose hand and body soaps for my very first box since I could use the items in my shower or place them next to my sinks. Cool Spring is an uplifting, fresh, vibrant scent that smells a bit like another soap with “Spring” in the name and that my husband happens to use. It is a light yellow, clear gel.

The side of each bottle reminds me to keep out of my eyes.

Each bottle also has the ingredients and since it’s the same for all three bottles I will only show it here. The ingredients are saponified oils, vitamin E, and either essential oils or fragrance oils.

Lavender Sage Liquid Hand & Body Soap ($8) is an opaque off-white color and the scent is deep, with a hint of musk. I think my husband might like this scent!

Rosemary Mint Liquid Hand & Body Soap ($8) was my favorite of the three scents, but then I love anything with mint! It also smelled like the most natural of the three scents. It was a creamy off-white and I used it in the shower on a plastic mesh body pouf. It lathered well, although I had to add more soap after doing the top half of my body. I don’t mind since I know the product isn’t going to be as hard-core soapy as a store-bought version made with SLS or SLES.

Soothing Remedies offers several different scents and even a couple of different subscription combos. At the time of this order you could pick from 3 bars of soap, liquid soap, or foaming soap. They now offer a bundle of all three items, I love that! I enjoyed trying these scents and appreciate that there are several different fragrances to choose from. They also offer other items in their online store such as candles and lip balms.
