Luxe Box is a quarterly beauty box curated by the same people behind Topbox. This Canadian subscription box is $26 with free shipping and is sent out every three months. Luxe Box offers some customization options as boxes are being prepared, usually allowing subscribers to choose a foundation shade or a preference for nail polish, for example.

First look!

Crabtree and Evelyn Fragrances — Crabtree and Evelyn is a popular brand in Canada. Their most popular product is their Gardner’s Hand Cream which my mom swears by! They have released some fragrances and here are samples of the pair of them.

Evelyn Rose:

• Bursts with Italian lemon, cassis and frankincense for a bold first impression.
• Floral notes are surrounded by a warming blend of spiced nutmeg and cashmere woods.
• Settles to a sensuous base of vetiver and musk.

Raw Instinct:

• Created for everyone. Made to share.
• Combines zingy apple with earthy eucalyptus, before settling to a smoky woody base.
• Strikes the perfect balance between subtly sweet and enticingly spicy.

Crabtree and Evelyn is not cruelty free so I won’t be keeping these for myself, but I like that Raw Instinct is unisex as it’s hard to find scents that can be shared.

Jubel Oils Work Hard Rollon — An energizing and grounding scent. It’s citrusy from the bergamot and lemon but also grounded with the herbals of basic, rosemary, and clove.

Bellapierre Setting Spray — As weather starts to turn to spring and temperatures raise, a setting spray is a great way to prevent your makeup from flaking, smearing, or running. This is a lightweight setting spray by Bellapierre that is infused with aloe to keep skin refreshed and makeup in place!

Klorane Detox Dry Shampoo ($10) — A travel friendly can of dry shampoo to stash in your bag. Dry shampoos are great for absorbing oil and moisture from their hair without need for a full shower. Klorane is not cruelty free so I haven’t tried this brand myself but it’s an instant classic item to have on hand!

Static Nails Polish — Ruby Slippers is a stunning glitter polish. Static Nails is a new to me brand based in Canada! They specialize in fake nail sets that are apparently super easy to apply so I might need to give them a try!

Glam Glow Supertoner — Glam Glow is most popular for their mud masks but their skincare products are also great. I’ve had amazing results in the past but sadly they are not cruelty free so I don’t use them anymore. This toner is suited for those with oily/combo skin as it has BHA to unclog pores as well as clay and charcoal to help balance.

Laritzy Lipstick ($20) — Laritzy is another great cruelty free grand with high quality products. Crimson is, well, crimson, and more of a winter colour for me.  Who misses wearing lipstick right now?

Doucce Boombastic Mascara ($24) — I’ve used this mascara before and really liked it, so it’s nice to have a backup. Doucce’s mascaras are all great, and Boombastic both lengthens and volumizes with a water resistant formula. It’s not completely waterproof but I don’t mind as I find it easier to remove at the end of the day!

The Spring box had some nice fragrances, haircare, skincare, and makeup essentials. I loved the nail polish and roll on and I’m happy most products are cruelty free. Luxe Box goes through phases season to season and I didn’t find anything amazing about this month’s curation in terms of how “luxe” it all is, but I still think it’s a box that more than pays for itself in terms of value.
