My snacks came in a handy carrying bag!

The back of the bag listed some important points.

I found 2 cards attached to a carabiner clip. It tells me what I can expect to find in my pouch.

The back of the first card tells me why it’s #actuallyhealthy, like snacks that have zero added sugars, are made of 100% plants, and that are high in fiber.

Everything in my bag!

Organic Living Superfoods Fruit The Whole Fruit & Nothing But The Fruit Mango Slices ($3.99, buy a 6-pack for $23.94) I think it’s great that this has a zipper top, I can eat a couple of slices and then save the rest for later.

It’s 100% real fruit, in this case, mango slices!

It was chewy and had a fruity flavor, more like peaches than mango. It reminded me of real fruit leather!

Sun & Swell Foods Nuts & Seeds ($3.33, buy a 6-pack for $20) One thing that this subscription has shown me is that there are some snack brands out there that I have never encountered before, like all of the brands in this month’s box!

Trail and nut mixes are my very favorite kind of snack because they are just so portable! This one has only three ingredients: pumpkin seeds, pistachios, and cashews, plus a bit of salt for flavor.

Not only was this snack tasty and a great source of energy and iron, it also had a zipper top so I could eat a bit at a time, then store it for the next day. It has a hefty amount of calories and is very filling, so I ended up snacking on it over the course of a few days.

Thunderbird Chocolate Almond Sea Salt Bar ($2, buy a 15-pack for $29.99) I can’t believe I haven’t heard of these bars before, because they are from right here in Austin, Texas, and yet this was my first time encountering them!

The only ingredients (it’s kind of hard to see here) are dates, almonds, cacao, cashews, and Himalayan pink salt.

I had to be somewhere very early in the morning so I packed this in my bag to eat at my destination. The bar was chewy, sort of like a LARA Bar, easier to chew than an Rx Bar, and it had tasty chunks of toasted almonds, the crunchiest almonds ever! I love date bars so this was a win for me, and I enjoyed the salted chocolate flavor. The bar kept me going for hours.

Original Bear Bar ($1.99, buy a case of 20 for $39.80) First off, I love the packaging, but then I’m originally from California so that might be the reason! That bear is telling me this ain’t no candy bar, but it is in the shape of a bar, so a savory granola bar?

I think I am correct, although you could also break this bar up and tip it into your mouth if you prefer. The ingredients are red bell pepper, cashews, kale, chia, lemon juice, and sea salt. That’s it, and it’s organic.

I was a little worried, my last attempt to eat a savory granola bar wasn’t fun, but this was extremely tasty! I loved the crunch, the brightness from the lemon, the flavor of the bell peppers, and the crunch of the nuts and seeds. It was more like a savory nut mix, at least to my brain. The bar was kind of broken up but I still ate every crumb. Yum!

I loved my introduction to airfare! The snacks were all that were promised: clean, plant-based, and extremely tasty! The absolute best part was that they introduced me to brands that I have never heard of before but that I will be investigating further (which means buying more of their snacks!). I thought the idea of this subscription service was pretty cool, and I know that when I travel I like to have healthy, non-perishable snacks and prefer not to pay airport prices. There were about 20 different snacks to choose from on their website so you are sure to find something that works for your tastes. Plus it has a handy pouch that can hold the snacks or other travel essentials. If you have to remove your food during TSA screening (this has happened to me, anyone else?) then you can just pull the whole pouch out of your carryon, easy peasy.
