Birchbox is a beauty sampling subscription service that sends 5 new items each month so you can try before you buy. Birchbox is $15 a month and you can choose a monthly sample during selection time, let Birchbox decide, or pick a pre-curated box.

This month I picked the Clean Beauty Picks Curated Box. Every month you can choose to select the Birchbox Founder Box, the Clean Beauty Box, pick a guaranteed sample, let Birchbox pick your box for you, swap your box for a selected full-size item, or swap your monthly box for points!

DEAL: Use one of these offers for a luxe freebie with your subscription – just visit Birchbox and use the code!

The box is simple but cute!

Upon opening, there is a card that says “Casual is beautiful.”

The items were wrapped in paper. There were no squiggles but everything arrived in good condition.

Here’s a closer look at the card.

At the back is a list of the items as well as the price if you want to buy the full size.

Everything in my December 2020 Clean Beauty Box!

Hola Neon Lipstick Balm in Wine Me ($17) This lip product is a hybrid of a lipstick and a balm, which gives a nice color payoff while keeping the lips smooth and soft. The plum shade is perfect for a Zoom night with the girls or even a date night. The formula is also nice. I like that it doesn’t tug when applied on the lips/ You may have to reapply this one though, as it isn’t smudge-proof. Another thing I like is the packaging of this lipstick! The clear cap makes it easy for me to see the shade inside so I can easily grab it and go.

Bueataniq Beauty Velvet Rose Bud Soothing Hand Cream ($9) Hand creams should always be handy because they keep hands soft and smooth despite the harsh weather. This one contains shea butter that helps moisturize the skin. I like that the formula isn’t sticky and non-greasy. It also has a light rose scent that leaves my hands smelling good. Plus the cap means I can keep it upright on my desk and out of the way!

Amika Flash Instant Shine Mask ($3.73) This hair mask is formulated with hydrolyzed flax seed to keep strands soft, silky, and healthy. It also has amino acids and UV filters that smoothen the hair cuticle and boost the hair’s elasticity. For those who have fine hair like me, you can apply this after shampooing instead of your regular conditioner. If you have thick and dry hair, it’s ideally used after shampoo and conditioner. This product is also good for color-treated hair!

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask ($5.63) A sleeping mask that has a pillow-proof formula is always a great idea! This one has a luxurious formulation that includes hyaluronic acid, a holy grail ingredient in moisturizing. It also has watermelon extract that soothes and fights free radical damages on the skin while warding off fine lines and wrinkles, even helping with dark spots!

Since it came in a tub container, just scoop out the amount you need and pat it onto the skin. It easily sinks in and it doesn’t leave my skin icky!

Doucce Freematic Highlighter ($16.67) The highlighter came in a small compact container so it’s easy to bring everywhere.

There wasn’t a mirror inside but it’s okay. The product itself is good. I like the shade because I think it will fit most skin tones. The formula is soft and velvety and I like that the shimmer doesn’t look like big chunks when applied!

This curated box has over $50 worth of items and I only had to pay a fraction of the price! Birchbox always sends great beauty products while giving me great value for my money. I really liked the hand cream because it doesn’t feel greasy at all when it dries. Plus, it smells amazing! The sleeping mask is also good! Birchbox lets you decide what you get and you can also choose a pre-curated box, it will all depend on your preference. If you like trying out new beauty products, this subscription is something worth looking at!
