basic MAN is a men’s monthly subscription box by Get Basic that sends three undergarments: socks, boxer-briefs, and a t-shirt. The box is $24.99 a month and shipping is free for US subscribers plus they ship worldwide ($5 to Canada, $7 to the rest of the world). All you have to do is to choose your size and you are set! basic MAN Crew Shirt in Heather Grey, Size XXXL ($16 for similar) basic MAN shirts come in sizes XS to 4X. Usually my husband gets 2X but they sent 3XL. Luckily basic MAN does free exchanges! (PS, after laundering, my husband decided he liked this size better!)
The shirt is made of 60% combed cotton and 40% Repreve recycled polyester. The shirt has a label printed on the material that fades when it is time to retire the shirt.
The shirt is comfortable and I know they tend to fit close to the body, so I will see in my husband prefers this size for a looser fit but he usually wears an XL in the brands sold at Target etc. Just FYI for those who prefer a looser fit, maybe size up one or two notches for comfort.
basic MAN Heather Charcoal Socks ($12 for similar) I think the socks sent in the subscription are very nice and the pair sent for December had a dark grey body and a cool print.
These fit US men’s sizes 8-12. They are made of combed cotton, Repreve recycled polyester, polyester, and spandex.
They have a compression arch support area and a mid-calf length. basic MAN socks have an aqua and white accent at the toes and are seamless.
There is a maroon paisley print all over the body of the sock but it isn’t bold or showy.
basic MAN Performance Boxer Brief in Cabernet, Size XXL ($12 for similar) basic MAN shorts come in sizes XS to 3XL and again, they tend to fit tight so you might want to size up.
The fly and crotch have mesh vents for comfort and a soft waistband.
The shorts are made of bamboo viscose and elastane. They are super soft and the tag is printed on the material and tells me when it should be recycled.
My husband has been very pleased with the quality of his basic MAN undergarments and the December colors were perfect for his style. The quality has been very nice and the shorts especially are super soft. basic MAN is very good about making exchanges so you can buy in confidence knowing they will take care of any size issues if they come up.
