DEAL:  Get $5 off when you signup for a 3 month or longer plan! Use coupon code 5OFF.

NOTE: The August box is not available on their website, but you can purchase the September box which has a Back to School theme.

The kit shows up bundled neatly together under some cute red polka dots tissue.

It was also secured using a Gramma in a Box sticker.

Most of the items came in separate plastic containers.

This month’s box includes a promotional card.

We also received a message from Gramma Terry! This month’s theme is Under The Sea.

At the back is a list of all the items from the box and the items you’ll need from home.

Every month, 3 projects are included in the box. This month, we have the Baby Shark Pops, Clams with Pearls, and Sea Life Cookie Decorating.

Featured on the other side of the card is the list of all the ingredients for each recipe.

This is the box upon opening! You just have to remind the kids that there should be no snacking on the craft supplies!

Everything in our August 2020 box!

First Project: Baby Shark Pops. For the first project, we used melting chocolate, marshmallows, graham cracker crumbs, goldfish crackers, and popsicle sticks.

After we have melted the chocolate in the microwave, my kids started to poke the bottom part of the marshmallows using the popsicle sticks.

They submerged the marshmallow on the melted chocolate, then dipped the top on the graham cracker crumbs. The last step is to stick the goldfish crackers on the sides.

These treats feature a cute underwater scenery of colorful baby sharks swimming on the ocean floor. How adorable!

Second Project: Clams With Pearls. We used the melted chocolate, vanilla wafers, white pearls, candy eyes, and white pearl sprinkles for our second project!

My kids started the project by grouping the wafers by two’s. Then, they put melted chocolate on top!

After putting melted chocolate, they also added a piece of white pearl in between the wafers.

They even added a pair of candy eyes on top of the vanilla cookies and showered them with white pearl sprinkles!

Here’s the completed Clams with Pearl treats! They look pretty much like a clam under the sea with huge, shiny white pearls inside.

These treats don’t just look good, they taste really great too!

Third Project: Sealife Cookie Decorating. For our final project, we used the remaining melting chocolate, assorted theme cookies, sanding sugars, frosting colors, and wax papers.

My kids love decorating cookies! My younger son immediately grabbed a bag of blue frosting and put some on top of the clam-shaped cookie.

There are a variety of ways of decorating cookies using frosting. While my younger son put the frosting on the edge of the cookies, my older son put droplets of frosting in the middle.

You can also combine all the frostings on top of the cookie just like what my son did on this one!

Once done with the frosting, shower the cookies with the sanding sugar.

Aside from the sanding sugar, you can also sprinkle the cookies using the excess pearl white sprinkles from the second project.

Here are all the cookies my kids made. They all turned out to be colorful and eye-catching!

We love this month’s under-the-sea theme!

The edible crafts from Gramma In A Box are always fun and exciting! My kids loved all the under-the-sea themed projects this month, especially the cookie decorating. Most of the ingredients are already provided, so we were able to start right away. The instructions on the cards are also easy to follow. These crafts help boost kids’ creativity and the best part is that they have a yummy snack to munch on after! This is indeed a great box for sibling or family bonding!
