Everything in my August 2020 Glossy Box!
Snowberry New Radiance Face Serum ($1.62) This lightweight face serum is formulated to plump, soften, and hydrate the skin, with a blend of kanuka honey, hyaluronic acid, and the anti-aging peptide powerhouse Copper Tripeptide-1. It promises better and even-toned skin with every use.
This serum is made in New Zealand. It’s also cruelty-free and carbon neutral. To use, just get a small amount and spread thinly on the face and neck. My skin absorbs this serum pretty easily! Another thing I like about it is that it doesn’t give me a sticky feeling!
Rebels Refinery Natural Lip Balm Wildberry ($7) The lip balm came in a geometric heart-shaped packaging. I received it in Wildberry flavor which smells fruity!
The balm itself is made with coconut and sweet almond oils plus antioxidant-rich vitamin E.
The faceted heart container is striking and unique! It’s lightweight so I have no problems stashing it in my bag and bringing it anywhere for touch-ups.
It unscrews easily, revealing the ball that is the product itself! I like that the balm is not sticky and is actually comfortable to wear compared to other lip balms. It also does a great job of hydrating my lips and it’s so cute!
Tangle Teezer Professional Detangling Hairbrush Wet and Dry – SIMILAR ($9.98) Here’s another cute item to bring on-the-go, a detangling hair brush!
It’s in pink! It also has an ergonomic design which makes it easier to grip while in use.
It works whether for wet or dry hair. So far, this brush has done a great job detangling my hair. It doesn’t cause breakage to my strands either!
Freeman Psssst! Deep Clean Dry Shampoo ($2.99) A quick fix for dull hair, this dry shampoo removes excess oils and product build-ups while giving the hair volume and shine. Ingredients include bentonite (pink clay) with antimicrobial properties and peppermint oil that gives the hair a cooling sensation! It smells amazing and it worked as promised. It didn’t weigh my hair down!
Jecca Blac Glow Drops ($21.30) This primer not only preps the skin for makeup, but it also leaves a glowing shine, making the skin look healthier and younger. The product itself looks like molten metal but it blends out to an invisible sheen like magic! It brings out a luminous glow that I love! Another great thing about this primer is that it’s vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.
Glossybox Eye Boost Cream ($18 for subscribers, $23 for non-subscribers) This eye cream is from Glossybox’s new skincare line! It hydrates and smoothens the under eyes, and also promises to reduce the appearance of dark circles. Ingredients include elderflower extract and red seaweed. The tube packaging comes with a nozzle that makes application a breeze. All you need are 3 dots of the cream under your eyes and then pat it into your skin. The cream can be used day and night!
This month’s box celebrates Glossybox’s 9th birthday with great beauty items for everyday use and a total retail value of $61! I was excited to try a new item from GLOSSYBOX’s skincare line, the eye boost cream, and it didn’t disappoint. It has a nice, lightweight formula that gets easily absorbed by the skin. I have yet to see significant results but so far it has made my under eyes feel smoother and depuffed. I also like the heart-shaped lip balm and the highlighter serum! Once again, GLOSSYBOX exceeded my expectations, not only on the number of items but because all the items work well for me!
