Gramma in a Box is a monthly subscription for kids (from a real Grandma!) that sends homemade cookies with frosting and sprinkles along with two easy candy crafts to make at least 15-20 edible treats.

DEAL:  Get $5 off when you signup for a 3 month or longer plan! Use coupon code 5OFF.

The kit shows up bundled neatly together under some cute red polka dots tissue.

It was also secured using a Gramma in a Box sticker.

Most of the items came in separate plastic containers.

The card has a message from Gramma Terry! This month’s box is all about Patriotic Cookies & Candy.

At the back is a list of all the items from the box and the items you’ll need from home.

Every month, 3 projects are included in the box. This month, we have Sparkler Pretzel Rods, Star Spangled Crispy Bites, and Patriotic Cookie Decorating.

Featured on the other side of the card is the list of all the ingredients for each recipe.

This is the box upon opening! You just have to remind the kids that there should be no snacking on the craft supplies!

Everything in our July 2020 box!

First Project: Sparkler Pretzel Rods. For this project, the crate provided honey pretzel twists, candy sprinkles in red, blue, and white , plus melting chocolate (vanilla). To melt the chocolate, put them in a microwave-safe bowl, heat in the microwave on high for 1 minute, stir with the spoon, and repeat for another 15 seconds until the chocolate is melted.

When the melted chocolate was ready, my kids dipped the pretzel twists in it and then rolled them on the sprinkles until the chocolate is covered.

It’s an easy project and the finished product is totally cute and yummy!

Here’s a closer look at our sparkling pretzel rods!

Second Project: Star Spangled Crispy Bites. For the second project, we used crispy rice cereal, dry-roasted peanuts, red, blue, and white jimmies, M&M’s candies, and the melted chocolate from the first project.

My kids mixed the crispy rice cereal bites, and dry-roasted peanuts in the bowl of melted chocolate.

Afterward, they scooped the mixture and transferred them to the paper cups. Then, they showered the cups with red, blue, and white sprinkles!

The last step is to top each of the cup with M&M’s candy!

We’re loving the colors of these treats!

These were crispy and sweet, no wonder my kids loved munching on them as much as they had fun making the treats.

Third Project: Patriotic Cookie Decorating. The last project is all about making patriotic cookies! We received sugar cookies, frostings, sprinkles, and sanding sugar for this project.

My kids are fond of designing cookies. It’s a great way of getting creative!

My daughter placed some frosting on the center and the edges of the star cookie.

She also topped it with red sanding sugar!

My older kids also made their own patriotic cookie designs using the rectangular-shaped cookies and red, blue, and white frosting.

Here’s a US flag-inspired cookie!

To make these treats even sweeter, my kids showered them with colorful sugar sanding.

They also added some sprinkles on some of the cookies.

What a lovely set of edible projects!

Gramma In A Box sends edible crafts with fun monthly themes and this month, all 3 projects are all about July 4th! Materials are already provided so all you have to do is get started. The instructions are also easy to follow. My kids can easily make the projects on their own and the only time they need help is when melting the chocolate in the microwave. We’re happy with the subscription and we recommend it to kids and parents who love crafts and delicious snacks!
