As I mentioned before, the August book box features a writer who makes me want to read every word he has ever written. A writer who manages to be laugh out loud funny, poignant, moving, all on the same page, if not in a single sentence. The writer is Percival Everett. And his books are simply unputdownable.
Garden by the Sea by Merce Rodoreda
The second writer in the August Book Box is another all time great! But you don’t have to take our word for it. She was also a favorite of Gabriel Garcia Marquez who said that this writer “had bedazzled me by the sensuality with which she reveals things within the atmosphere of her novels.” 😍
