Vitamin C Serum ($42) This lightweight serum harnesses the brightening and firming properties of vitamin C to enhance the appearance of the skin. It’s fast-absorbing and more ideally used at night. The formula also works for all skin types. To use, get a dime-sized amount and press into damp skin. Other ingredients include green apple, vitamin E, and alpha-lipoic acid.
Long Last Liquid Eye Liner in Black Tea ($30) This eyeliner is one of a kind, as it’s made with pigments from black tea leaves that give a deeper and more dramatic color compared to regular eyeliners. The longevity of this eyeliner is also good! It lasts all day or night long without smudging. It’s even water-resistant!
Fruit Pigmented Ultra Lengthening Mascara in Black Tea ($26) Here’s another makeup item made with black tea pigments, a lengthening mascara! It comes with a brush applicator that goes smoothly on my lashes. The formula doesn’t clump or smudge, and it even contains oat protein and provitamin B5 which helps nourish the lashes. I really love the dramatic look it gave my eyes!
Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream ($8.70) This cream is specially formulated to perk up the eyes. It combines caffeine from coffee and green tea for the energizing effect, as well as vitamin E that protects the skin and vanilla planifolia with conditioning properties. You’ll need a dime-sized amount per application on the eye area, including your upper and lower lids. It’s lightweight and doesn’t feel tacky when applied!
Bright Eyes Mask 5-Pack ($30) To further keep my eyes perked up, they also sent 5 packs of eye masks! These are highly hydrating, with ingredients such cucumber, natural caffeine, and organic aloe juice. The mask itself is made with 5% plant cellulose.
They are packed per pair to retain the freshness of the masks. They have a cooling effect when I put them on! I felt really relaxed!
The Detox Box makes it easy for me to discover green beauty products that actually work on my skin. This month’s curation focused on skin-friendly items for the eye area and I like them all! There’s an eye cream and some eye masks to keep the skin around my eyes bright and energized, plus a mascara and an eyeliner made with gentle fruit pigments. I find those eye makeup items easy to use and the result is also way better than their regular counterparts. There’s also a vitamin C serum that works for the whole face! It’s potent and my skin loves it! If you want to switch to green beauty, this subscription is a great way to start. It’s convenient and you also get the products at a lower price compared to retail! This month, the total retail value of the box is $137. It’s a big win, considering that the price of the box is only $55!
