I am so excited to see what’s inside!

The sticker seal usually gives us a hint about the featured place.

The sticker says that this month’s featured place is “The Pearl of the Orient Seas”!

The featured place this month is a country from South East Asia, PHILIPPINES!

The box is full to the brim!

This colorful map shows an illustration of The Philippines. It gives us a brief overview of the country.

There’s a sheet for The Official Yum Awards, where you can rate the snacks!

Aside from the sheet, we also got an awesome booklet!

At the back, we get to see the results of who won the favorite snack award from the Brazil box!

They even provided a sneak peek for next month’s box!

Inside the booklet, it contains more details about the Philippines like fun facts and tourist spots. There is even a recipe for a local summer staple, made with eggplants and eggs.

Another feature on the booklet is a trivia quiz.

They also listed down the snacks in this box. Each snack comes with a photo and a long description in the booklet!

They even included some trivia or history about the snack and how it might taste! I’m getting more and more excited!

This month, they also included the Nutrition Facts of each item.

These pages feature more quizzes and this time they feature popular Filipino personalities as well as Philippine flora and fauna!

We loved reading this before taking a bite on this month’s yums!

Everything in my box!

Yum Bag. This Yum Bag contains the Philippines’s most popular flavors!

I’m so excited to see what candies from the other side of the world taste like!

Lipps Color Burst Mango Hard Candy. The Philippines is known for its delicious mangoes, it’s no wonder they also have yummy mango candies! These hard candies are sweet!

Lipps Strawberry Hard Candy. We got another variation of the hard candy, and this time it’s strawberry flavored! These are also pretty sweet, with a burst of juicy strawberry flavor.

They look like cough drops and they leave a stain on my tongue and lips!

Egg Bites Crispy Egg Cookies. These are crisp little cookies that are mildly sweet, with a hint of the egg flavor as an aftertaste. It’s so good, the kids gobbled it up and the whole thing was gone before I knew it!

Baked Cheesy Puffs Sweet Butter & Cheese Flavored Corn Puffs. These corn puffs are definitely something new to my palate. The flavoring is sweet and savory at the same time, and the puffs are light and crisp!

Boy Bawang Cornick Adobo Flavored Cornick Nuts. It’s the Filipino version of corn nuts! These were crunchy and savory, with a flavor inspired by the famous Filipino dish called adobo. It also makes a perfect beer match or even something I can enjoy while watching a movie. It’s not overly salty as it has a slight barbecue flavor to it but it’s surely something good to nibble on!

Cupp Keyk Coco Ube Cupcake with Coconut Flakes. The coconut and ube flavors in this cupcake are just amazing! I like that this isn’t overly sweet and the sweetness just enhances the flavor profile and not overpower it. It’s a bit dry and I didn’t really get the coconut flakes texture that you can see on the packaging but it’s still a good snack overall.

Goldilocks Pinipig Polvoron Toasted Rice Shortbread. This polvoron or toasted rice shortbread is quite good and probably one of my favorites from this bunch. It’s very powdery dry but the flavor is superb. There are crunchy rice crisp bits in there which adds texture to the whole thing. It’s milky and sweet as well!

Farmer John BBQ Sausage Spicy Barbecue Sausage Potato Chips. These potato chips taste similar to beef jerky! It has a good crunch to it, almost like a Ruffles chip, only thicker. Each piece is also well-flavored and it does have that smoky aftertaste!

Soft Cookies with Mango Bits. We got a box of cookies and they have mango bits in them!

The cookies come individually wrapped, and it’s nice because it keeps the freshness of each cookie if we don’t finish the whole box in one sitting! Just open a packet and you can leave the rest to enjoy later!

The cookie, just like the box claimed, was soft and chewy! It’s delicious! There really are mango bits that add a sweet kick in every bite. It’s also a nice dessert snack!

Fudgee Bar Macapuno Cake with Cream Filling. We got two cake bars from the same brand! The first one is a green cake with a creamy filling. The flavor is called macapuno and apparently, it’s made with sweetened coconut. The cake was dense and the flavor was just amazing! It reminds us of Twinkies, just more flavorful!

Fudgee Bar Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake with Salted Caramel Filling. The second cake bar we got is chocolate-flavored with a salted caramel center. It’s also good! The cake was still pretty moist and it easily satisfied our sweet tooth cravings.

ChocoMucho Chocolate Wafer Roll with Caramel, Crisped Rice, and Dark Chocolate. The texture is what makes this chocolate bar unique! It’s made with a wafer roll covered with chocolate and cereal crispies, so it has creamy, chewy, and crunchy textures all in one bite! The caramel in the center is also delightful!

ChocoMucho Cookies & Cream Chocolate Cookie Bar with Caramel, Crisp Rice and White Chocolate. We got another chocolate bar in a different flavor and when I opened it, it reminded me of a Hershey’s cookies and cream bar. Just like the first chocolate bar, it has a nice combination of textures. It’s made with white chocolate, caramel, chocolate cookie center, and cereal crispies. This makes a nice on-the-go treat or a quick picker-upper because of its sweetness!

It’s another amazing month for Universal Yums! We had fun learning about the Philippines through their snacks, and our favorites are the polvoron and mango cookies! The polvoron is a yummy snack and we really liked the flavor mix of milk and sugar. The cookies were soft and sweet, we can’t get enough of them either. The rest are also good snacks to munch on whetehr on-the-go or while watching TV. Universal Yums surely did a great job curating this box!
