This is a review of the Premium box!

This month’s box is all about Sakura Season!

The box is full to the brim! The inside is also cute with sakura flowers all over!

As always, there are LOTS of snacks in this box!

The box includes an information booklet!

Featured at the back of the booklet is the JC Sakura Contest! You can get a chance to win the Sakura Mickey by posting pictures and using #JapanCrate and #JCSakura on social media!

Inside the booklet is a chart of contents that lists all the snacks from three different box sizes. There are 3 different subscription levels available: The Mini includes 5 items, the Original includes those items PLUS another 5 items, and the Premium includes those 10 items PLUS another 5 items.

It also features Japanese vocabulary words and recent festivals happening there!

The booklet has a short description of each item in the box. I’m so excited to try them out!

Everything in my April 2020 box!

Sweet Salty Haru Potato. This potato chip is true to its claim, it has a nice balance of sweetness and saltiness. Each piece has a wavy pattern that holds more flavor. Also, the packaging is in pink, since this is from the spring edition of Calbee!

Fruit Basket Gummy. It’s a pack of fruit-flavored gummies! They do taste fruity and they’re not too sweet. We love the assortment of flavors in one pouch, which includes grapes, pineapples, strawberries, and more!

Petite Divination Chocolate. The candies are coated in different colors, pretty much the same concept as M&Ms but this one is a tad bit sweeter. I wish there’s a bigger size of this chocolate as the kids loved it! It’s also fun poking through the foil to get to the candies!

Sherbet Perocola. This a cola-flavored lollipop is already good on its own but the dip itself enhances the experience. It’s juicy and definitely flavorful!

Mochi Strawberry. Unlike other mochi snacks that we’ve tried, this one is soft and chewy! It also has the right amount of sweetness with a tinge of tart from the filling. This will pair well with tea on a lazy afternoon!

Sakura Milk Caramel Corn. This sweet treat is super good! We love Tohato’s caramel corn and this time they gave it a whole new flavor with sakura! It was light and airy, with just the right amount of milky sweetness. I like that the puffs are crisp and chewy, they were so enjoyable to snack on!

Horadekita Ice Bar Soft Candy. Here’s a pack of DIY candies! It includes ingredients to make our own ice bar, like soft candies, sprinkles, sugar, and popsicle sticks! It’s super easy to make, all we need to do is to dip the candy into the syrup and into the powder. My kids liked it!

Crispy Chocolate. This little chocolate bar is covered in rice crispies. It tastes so good and it makes a nice pick-me-upper. I also like the milky chocolate in it because it’s rich not too sweet!

Grape Ball. This jelly came in a half ball packaging, sealed tightly to maintain freshness. The grape flavor didn’t disappoint!

Cola Flavor Roll Candy Sour Cola Gummy. We got another cola-flavored snack, and this time it’s a pack of gummies! It has a hint of sourness to it at first, but as you chew on it, it actually mellows down to a nice sweetness. It’s amazing how they are able to put a twist in this cola gummy!

Bourbon Blanc Tulle Mini Sakura Flavor. I really love the packaging of this snack! It looks appealing as it’s very pleasant to the eyes! Inside the pack are 12 little biscuit sandwiches that has sakura flavored filling! I can eat this any time of the day, it tastes really good and I can see this will pair well with hot beverages.

Sakura Matcha Cream Collon. For fans of matcha, this is definitely worth a try! It’s a matcha biscuit roll with a delicious cream in the center. It doesn’t have that striking matcha flavor but it’s there. The cream filling balances the flavors out!

Sakura Matcha Pocky. Who doesn’t like Pocky? I’m sure everybody does! This is also matcha flavored but it has hint of sakura. It’s actually a pretty good combination. This makes a nice on-the-go snack as well.

Sonomanma Monster Gum. This sour gum will surprise you since one of them is made extra sour. This is perfect for sour candy lovers and my mouth waters just by thinking about it!

Chocolate Hit Flakes. My kids love cereals so this is a hit for us! It’s like a chocolate cereal bar that’s a perfect snack treat in between playtimes! It’s not that sweet as it’s more on the cocoa flavor and the flakes are nice and crisp!

Gold Gabrichu. This super chewy taffy is so fun to eat because it stretches super wide! It has a pineapple flavor with a hint of peaches that tastes so good. It’s a nice snack to nibble at any time of the day!

Nipponshu Sakura Kit Kat Mini. We love KitKat and Japan is known to have unique flavors that can only be found there! This is one of them! It’s Sakura Japanese Sake flavor and it’s so good as it melts in your mouth. As usual, the Kit Kats were individually wrapped so we can only take what we can eat and store the others and keep them fresh until we need them!

Strawberry Coca Cola. The most interesting item in this month’s box is this strawberry-flavored Coca Cola! It’s very unique and not something we can find here in the US. For sure, Coke lovers will be interested in this drink as the bottle can serve as a collector’s item or memorabilia! It’s has a mellow Coke taste with a tinge of strawberry! Weird, but the flavors go well together!

What an amazing box! This month’s Japan Crate did not disappoint as it showcased a wide array of springtime snacks from Japan. We got several limited edition snacks featuring sakura flavor and they were all good. We also loved the selection of unique Japanese candies! Since this is a Premium box, we even get to try one drink from the country. This month’s strawberry Coca Cola was definitely a hit! For Japanese snack lovers and any adventurous snackers out there, this box is a nice way to get your hands on the best Japanese snacks. If you think the Premium box is too big for you, no worries because they have the Mini box and the Original box as well.
