The Starter Kit includes 4 empty, transparent spray bottles. These are refillable and reusable plastic bottles that can be used for as long as they are still in good condition. You just need to replenish the cleaning cartridges and you have greatly contributed to reducing plastic consumption. That’s one amazing eco-friendly cleaning product that makes me so happy!
There are also 4 cleaning cartridges, which can be specifically used for floors (yellow), glass (blue), kitchen (green) and shower (orange). These are all non-toxic and biodegradable!
The yellow variant is called Truman’s Floors Truly floor cleaner which works on all types of flooring surfaces such as hardwood, marble, ceramic tile, and laminate. It is completely non-toxic so it is very safe to use even around pets or kids. It’s also quick-drying, non-slippery, and streak-free. Ingredients include plant-based surfactants. The formula is also pH-neutral.
Ingredients for the floor cleaner: water, Sodium Xylene, Sulfonate, Alkyl Polyglucoside, Trisodium dicarboxymethylalaninate, Ethanol, Octyl-2-Pyrrolidone, Benzisothiazolinone, Floral, Sandolan, and Yellow E-2GL.
Next up, we have the blue cartridge, which is Truman’s The Glass is Always Cleaner variant. This cleaner is specially formulated to clean anything with glass on it, from the mirror to windows, TV screen, computer monitor, cellphones or even tablets. I like that it is scent-free. It is mild and gentle as well. Instead of harmful chemicals, they used plant-based detergents for this glass cleaner!
The glass cleaner ingredients: Butoxypropanol, Sodium Xylene Sulfonate, Alkyl Polyglucoside, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Water, Benzisothiazolinone, and Keyacid Blue FG (Acid Blue 9).
Truman’s Everything & The Kitchen Sink comes in the green cartridge and is an all-purpose cleaner. It can be used for cleaning anything in the kitchen from appliances to cabinets, countertops, walls, sinks, etc. Its formulation fights greases or any spills from cooking. It’s formulated with plant-based surfactants, which removes grease without leaving any residue.
All-Purpose Cleaner Ingredients: Water, Alcohol Ethoxylate, 1-Butoxypropanol, Dipropylene Glycol Monopropyl Ether, Sodium Xylene Sulfonate, Octyl-2-pyrrolidone, Alkyl Polyglucoside, Benzoisothiazolinone, Fresh Cucumber, Sweet Basil, Permabril Green
The orange variant is called More Shower to You, specially formulated to remove soap scum, body oils, and other soils from bathroom surfaces. It works best on toilets, sinks, tubs, showers, and tiles. The formula contains organic salts and biodegradable surfactants to help keep your bathroom surfaces squeaky clean. It has none of those harsh chemicals found in regular shower cleaners.
Ingredients for the shower cleaner: Water, Organic Acid, Alcohol Ethoxylate, Dipropylene Glycol Monopropyl Ether, Sodium cocoamphopropionate, Cocamidopropyl betaine, Lauramide oxide, Clementine, Mixture Pylam FD&C Yellow #5, FD&C Red #40
There’s a complete instruction on how to prepare the cleaning solution. It’s conveniently found on top of the box. It says that you need to add lukewarm or hot water, put the cartridge refill in the neck of the spray bottle, insert the sprayer, twist and start spraying. Easy-peasy!
As instructed, we filled the empty spray bottle with lukewarm water until its right spot. Then, we inserted the cleaning cartridge refill at the neck of the bottle.
We’ve carefully inserted the sprayer inside the small hole in the cartridge refill.
Once fit in the hole, we’ve put the sprayer hose all the way through inside the bottle.
Notice how the contents of the cartridge started pouring into the water slowly until the solution reached the color of the cartridge content. In our case, we’ve started with the blue glass cleaner first.
The solution is starting to mix and the cleaner concentrate is pouring down to the water.
The bottom of the cleaner refill touches the water level thus allowing the continuous flow of the cleaner until it empties and mixed thoroughly in the solution.
It is very visible how the concentrate inside the refill is combining into the water since the sprayer bottle is transparent. Look how beautifully they are combining!
We’ve tried it next on the kitchen sink cleaner. There’s bubbling on the sidewalls of the bottle due to the lukewarm water used.
This is how it looks like on the orange variant once the concentrate has fully dropped to the bottom of the container. We gave it a whisk and it has mixed well.
This is the Floors Truly solution once fully diluted. I noticed that it has a floral scent which is mild and not overpowering.
This blue solution is also fragrance-free. We tried it out by cleaning the window glass. It glides smoothly and it easily removes any dirt or residue. Our window looked squeaky clean in no time.
The kitchen sink cleaner, just like the cartridge color, is also green when diluted and prepared in the sprayer bottle. The label says garden scented with subtle notes of green florals having that fresh, botanical smell.
The cleaner for the shower and bathroom is the strongest mix among the 4 cleaners in the kit since it does the toughest cleaning job. It has a strong citrus scent which jives with the color choice of the solution.

Truman offers good cleaning in small packages through the use of cartridge-based systems. It saves space with the refillable option, saves plastic with its reusable sprayer bottle and most of all saves money by buying only the refill kit.

The label names are well-thought-of. It’s commendable how eco-friendly these cleaners are! Once you run out, you can easily reorder the refills. Plus, these are ammonia-free, streak-free and toxin-free as well. Since they only choose ingredients from the CleanGredients list, I have no worries when using their products. For a household with kids and pets, Truman truly hits home! We absolutely loved it and it works amazingly well!
