Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription. You get five makeup, beauty, skincare, and hair care items in a cute bag for $12 a month! It’s the most popular subscription box and a great way to sample new colors and beauty brands that you may have never heard of, as well as some of the bigger names. Ipsy also offers a Glam Bag Plus for $25 a month and Glam Bag Ultimate for $50 a month.

There are many bag variations every month for Ipsy – login to your account to check out how-to videos and tips for your products.

IPSY was founded on a singular mission: to inspire individuals around the world to express their unique beauty. Everything we do is to support you on your journey to self-discovery, so you’ll feel confident letting your unique beauty shine every day.

Most of my items were inside the cute makeup bag but make sure to double check the mailing bag, sometimes larger items (like makeup brushes) can be found there.

The bag for April is plastic but it has a linen type of finish and features flowers all over the purple bag. The zipper pull is wooden and “IPSY” is burned into the wood.

The inside is lined with polyester material. The bag measures 7.25″ x 5″. The bag has the same design as the bags sent in the Plus and Ultimate boxes, but the color and size/shape is different, so the bags coordinate if you get all three Ipsy levels.

The theme for the April bag is Full Bloom!

The inside listed my products and gave a tip for each one. It mentioned whether my items were full sized or a deluxe sample and listed the retail value for the full sized products. I received 3 full sized items and 2 deluxe samples. Every subscriber has the opportunity to choose an item for their bag, but I let Ipsy surprise me this month.

The back of the card mentioned that you can choose an item for your May bag on 4/25!

Some of my items came in their original boxes and some were also protected by bubble wrap.

Everything in my box!

Aromatica Calendula Juicy Cream (Deluxe sample, $5.33 value) is a non-greasy moisturizer that is meant for the face but that can be used anywhere you have rough skin that needs TLC. The first ingredient is calendula water, which is supposed to calm skin. It is fragrance-free and recommended for those with sensitive skin.

Kokie Cosmetics Be Bright Illuminating Concealer in Light (Full size, $8) is meant especially for the under-eye area, to help brighten those dark circles.

I dotted it on under my eyes and also applied it to red areas on my face before patting it with my finger to help blend it out. I thought it brightened the area and helped cover up the redness, but it didn’t look mask-like, which is good because I prefer a more natural look. Swatched below.

bellápierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick in Incognito (Full size, $20) The box says “Matte” but I received the mineral lipstick, and the bottom of the container says mineral lipstick, and the ingredients listed on the box seem to match the mineral lipstick too, just FYI.

The color is described as a caramel-like neutral that is supposed to work on everyone. It felt fine on my lips but the color didn’t work for me, mainly because it was patchy rather than full coverage and has that sort of opaque whitish cast that reminds me of zinc for the nose. It smells and tastes good! Swatched below.

Space Case Cosmetics See From Space Highlighter in 1A (Deluxe sample, $6.43 value) I received a bronzer from this brand in my Ultimate bag, now here’s a highlighter to go with it!

This shade is a golden shimmer and was easy to apply to my cheeks, nose, and cupid’s bow. Swatched below.

Oryza Beauty Nude Shimmer & Contour Eyeshadow (Full size, $19.95) I received an eye shadow palette with some sparkly warm colors.

The ingredients are listed on the back. Please note, these ingredients are different than those listed on the Ipsy website.

Three of these shades are shimmery, with the terra cotta color on the upper left the only matte. The rose gold in the lower right is my favorite of these shades! I applied two of the shimmers with my fingers (they seem to stick better that way), then applied the matte in the crease using a brush. Swatched below.

From the top: Space Case highlighter, bellápierre lipstick, Kokie concealer, and Oryza eye shadows. I did the terra cotta color first, then the gold, bronze, and rose gold. The lipstick didn’t look like that on my lips, it was much lighter.

I was pretty pleased with my April Ipsy Glam Bag and products! I received 4 makeup items and one skincare item. I used all of the makeup items on Easter and my husband even complimented me on my look so thank you Ipsy! Keep in mind that your products may be very different from mine based on your answers on the Ipsy beauty preferences quiz. My items had a value of around $59.71!
