On one side of the information card, Fit Snack provides a workout for the month. This month, it also includes a meal prep guide, recipes and mindfulness tips available through a QR code.
On the other side of the information card, there are details about each of the items.
Bada Bean Bada Boom – Sweet Cinnamon. With just simple ingredients, this high protein snacks are filling and energy-dense. The broad beans (fava) are flavored with cinnamon, cane sugar, and stevia. I really enjoy the soft crunch of these beans, but I prefer the savory flavor, like the one we got last month, to the sweet flavor.
Kibo Chickpea chips – Himalayan Salt. Another high protein snacks, these savory chips have just the right amount of crisps. The texture reminds me of something between light corn chips and a puffed rice cracker.
Moon Cheese – Cheddar Believe It and Get Pepper Jacked. Little puffed cheese bites, the cheddar flavored one has a nice cheddar flavor, but I couldn’t eat the whole package in one sitting, probably because they are not salty at all, but I still enjoy the taste. The Get Pepper Jacked was delicious. It had a little hint of spice and I couldn’t get enough of that flavor.
They are 100% cheese, so they are gluten-free.
Foods Alive Nutritional Yeast. Nutritional Yeast is a great way to add a boost of B vitamins as well as some protein and trace minerals necessary for health, growth and immunity. I love adding flakes to a salad dressing, or to popcorn (just mix it to some form of oil before dumping it on the popcorn for a nice cheesy flavor.)
Backpacker’s Pantry – Vegetable Medley. A freeze dried and dehydrated mix of corn, peas and carrots with butter. All you need to do is to add a cup of boiling water directly to the pouch, stir, and let it sit for 10 minutes.
FlapJacked Soft Baked Cookie Bar – Chocolate Brownie. A soft and chewy texture with a lot of chocolate flavors, my husband thought they were just normal brownies and not filled with prebiotics, probiotics, and protein as well as being gluten-free. He really enjoyed them, but we’ve enjoyed anything from FlapJacked.
Why Bars – Cherry Chia. A gluten, soy, and dairy-free bar, made with gluten-free oats, tapioca syrup, almond butter, dried cherry, organic chia seeds, and organic coconut oil.
Weeks Honey Farm – Cinnamon Honey Spread. Delicious honey spread with just the right amount of cinnamon flavor. I love to spread honey on a buttered toast for a quick pre-workout snack. It would be good on top of ice cream, waffles, or in coffee and tea. Honey is good with everything!
Teaonic My Brain Mojo – Clear Mind. I don’t know if it helps to get clear and focused, but it’s a tasty spicy blend. It’s organic and made with coconut milk, ginger juice, lemon juice, ginkgo biloba leaf, hibiscus flower, turmeric extract powder and black pepper. I really enjoyed the flavor and I know that turmeric and black pepper are good for you.
This was another tasty box. I like the mix of savory and sweet flavor, and that we get to try more than just chips and cookies. I really like the Nutritional Yeast to add a boost of B vitamins to my meal, and the Get Pepper Jacked Moon Cheese was definitely my favorite snack. My husband really appreciates the cookie bar and the chickpea chips. Seriously, I want more of the Get Pepper Jacked Moon Cheese!
