This month’s Teenage Dreams book picks are Hidden Kingdom by Amanda Hocking and Thieving Weasels by Billy Taylor.

Everything in my box!

Thieving Weasels by Bill Taylor ($17.08)

Cameron Smith attends an elite boarding school and has just been accepted to Princeton University alongside his beautiful girlfriend, Claire. Life for Cameron would be perfect, except that Cameron Smith is actually Skip O’Rourke, and Skip O’Rourke ran away from his grifter family four years ago…along with $100,000 of their “earnings” (because starting a new life is not cheap). But when his uncle Wonderful tracks him down, Skip’s given an ultimatum: come back to the family for one last con, or say good-bye to life as Cameron.

“One last con” is easier said than done when Skip’s family is just as merciless (and just as manipulative) as they’ve always been, and everyone around him is lying. Skip may have given up on crime, but there’s one lesson he hasn’t forgotten: always know your mark. And if you don’t know who your mark is . . . it’s probably you.

Witty and irresistibly readable, this standout debut will always keep you guessing.

The text at the back of the book basically sums up the whole story:

You can outrun your past.

But you can never outrun your family.

The long synopsis is at the flap of the dust jacket.

There are some hilarious characters right here, but the story is also balanced with some heartwrenching bits. The author did a great job of putting everything together and ending it in such a marvelous way.

If you like stories with dark humor or you’re looking for some realistic fiction, this is a great choice.

Hidden Kingdom by Amanda Hocking ($12.81)

All three books in the New York Times bestselling Kanin Chronicles trilogy by Amanda Hocking are together for the first time in one spectacular volume!

Bryn Aven doesn’t fit into Kanin society. Her blond hair and blue eyes mark her as a half-blood, unable to hold a respectable rank. But Bryn is determined to prove herself as a loyal protector of the kingdom she loves, and nothing will stand in her way. Not even her growing attraction to her boss, Ridley Dresden…even though a relationship between them is strictly forbidden.

After a brutal enemy attacks the Kanin, Bryn finds herself on a quest to save her people. But is Bryn willing to risk everything to protect a kingdom that doesn’t accept her for who she really is? And as the mission brings her closer to Ridley, can Bryn deny her heart any longer?

One thing is clear: they’re about to unravel a long-hidden secret about the Kanin kingdom, and it will change Bryn’s place in it forever.

It’s a young adult fantasy with a dash of romance! This book is pretty much jampacked because all 3 books in the Kanin Chronicles trilogy is here.

There was also a good amount of tension in the story. The romance and character development kept us on our toes.

It’s long but definitely worthy of a read. The ending was quite touching as well! We can’t wait to read other books by this author!

BookCase.Club never disappoints! This month’s YA reads are both interesting and well-written. I can’t choose a favorite because they’re equally good and they’re equally worthy of a read. If you want to grab great books and discover new authors without leaving the comforts of home, this is a great subscription to try. If you’re not into YA, there are also other available genres like Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Mystery/Thriller!
