Packed to the top!

I opened the box to find tissue paper sealed with a sticker!

A couple of Biscoff cookies and two teabags from Stash will provide a tasty snack and drink as I read my new books!

Everything in my box!

I found two cards and each one had a code for a downloadable book. I can go with the fantasy genre in Witches & Vampires by Brianna Witte ($7.19 on Kindle) and a Regency romance with A Reluctant Bride by Jess Michaels ($4.99 on Kindle).

I found a card with more info on the main book, which I believe every subscriber will receive for March.

I do love historical fiction!

The Burning Chambers by Kate Mosse ($27.99 list price, now $16.99) Not only is this historical fiction, it is also a thriller so I am excited to start this story, since it hits a couple of my favorite genres. It is Book 1 of 2 in the Burning Chambers series so if this one is a hit, then I look forward to the second book, which comes out in May.

Power and Prejudice: France, 1562. War sparks between the Catholics and Huguenots, dividing neighbors, friends, and family—meanwhile, nineteen-year-old Minou Joubert receives an anonymous letter at her father’s bookshop. Sealed with a distinctive family crest, it contains just five words: She knows that you live.

Love and Betrayal: Before Minou can decipher the mysterious message, she meets a young Huguenot convert, Piet Reydon. Piet has a dangerous task of his own, and he will need Minou’s help if he is to stay alive. Soon, they find themselves on opposing sides, as forces beyond their control threaten to tear them apart.

Honor and Treachery: As the religious divide deepens, Minou and Piet find themselves trapped in Toulouse, facing new dangers as tensions ignite across the city—and a feud that will burn across generations begins to blaze. . .

The Land Beneath Us by Sarah Sundin ($29.99) is Book 3 of 3 in the Sunrise at Normandy series, and I am hoping it reads as a stand alone since I haven’t read the other two books. It takes place before the allied invasion at Normandy and that is a period I enjoy reading about.

In 1943, Private Clay Paxton trains hard with the US Army Rangers at Camp Forrest, Tennessee, determined to do his best in the upcoming Allied invasion of France. With his future stolen by his brothers’ betrayal, Clay has only one thing to live for–fulfilling the recurring dream of his death.

Leah Jones works as a librarian at Camp Forrest, longing to rise above her orphanage upbringing and belong to the community, even as she uses her spare time to search for her real family–the baby sisters she was separated from so long ago.

After Clay saves Leah’s life from a brutal attack, he saves her virtue with a marriage of convenience. When he ships out to train in England for D-day, their letters bind them together over the distance. But can a love strong enough to overcome death grow between them before Clay’s recurring dream comes true?

Highland Sword by May McGoldrick ($7.99 list price, now $6.49) Do I like a Highland historical romance? Aye, I do! This is an advanced reader copy of a book that will be released later this month. It is also Book 3 of 3 in the Royal Highlander series. A woman sworn to fight for her country? As a female veteran, I can get behind that!

A VOW FOR VENGEANCE
Fleeing to the Highlands after her father’s murder, fiery Morrigan Drummond has a score to settle with Sir Rupert Burney, the English spymaster responsible for his death. Trained to fight alongside the other rebels determined to break Britain’s hold on Scotland, she swears to avenge her father’s death―until a chance encounter with a barrister as proud and principled as she is presents her with a hard choice…and a bittersweet temptation.

A PLEA FOR PASSION
Aidan Grant has never encountered another woman like dangerous beauty Morrigan―and he has the bruises to prove it. Yet she could be the key to defending two innocent men, as well as striking a death blow to the reprehensible Burney. Convincing Morrigan to help him will take time, but Aidan is willing to wait if it means victory over corrupt government forces and freedom for his people…and Morrigan’s hand in marriage. Can two warriors committed to a cause stand down long enough to open their hearts to a love fierce enough to last…forever?

I can’t wait to get started on my March books from my latest Fresh Fiction Box! I think all three of the main books looked perfect for my reading preferences, and that doesn’t happen too often. Even the downloadable books look interesting! I love black tea and found two bags to enjoy during some downtime, along with a couple of cookies. The value for my March box, using current selling prices and not including the advanced readers copy or snacks, was around $59.16!

Which book would you read first? Let me know in the comments!
